It was my first day back at work today after 2 weeks annual leave and I had a lovely surprise waiting for me
Here's what I got
A lavender candle and candle holder, Bat Keyring, v v cute bat necklace, star earrings, some aqua crystals for holding water in the soil or putting cut flowers in and some purple dyed not paper.

My favourite item was the unbelievably cute bat necklace - it was so cute I made a loud squee noise when I saw it

I love everything and had to take the necklace off to photograph it. It will probably go back on now Thank you Jennifer - definitely made my first day back less meh.

I got to overhear a wonderful conversation that kind of relates to something discussed here. I was in my local chemist last week and one of the staff in the shop was explaining to one of the other customers how someone can have two ages (or more) depending on the different calendar their country of origin adopts. He was saying in his culture your age is measured by the number of years you have completed. So for me it would mean that because I was born 11 Oct 1974 I would only be 37 as he says I have only completed 37 years and will not be 38 (which I am in the UK). I like his calender best as it means I get to say I'm younger I found it fasinating when he explained it. It apparently came up because of the instructions on the back of a pill packet that says adults or children over the age of 12.
I'm so pleased it arrived in one piece My bf had his eye on the little yoda so I have to make another. The cushion is a lavender - its from our allotment
I absolutely adored the Secret Garden by Francis Hodgeson Burnett - its one of the classics so it should be easy to pick up cheap and has a great story. Also the Solitaire Mystery by Jostein Gaardner was really enjoyable. Its a bit quirky and different to anything else I've read. I've not been overly taken by any of his other stuff though but that one was really nice.
My first happygram is all parcelled up ready to get in the post tomorrow
Lol Monika the bit about being a socialist radical feminist made me immediatly add you as a friend on facebook I don't use facebook that much these days but when I do its normally something political.

Its very easy to use. I have a blog attached to my website which I use for most things but use my tumblr ones for my personal journal and the other for spirally things. I love spirals
oh no I hope its okay. Its well packaged though as I got a little carried away with the sellotape so hopefully it will arrive soon.

I also got some lovely Sherlock Holmes cards and forgot to take pics of them - doh! I'll get another pic after I've done a few jobs and add that later. I love everything but especially the jewellery - the bracelet is so delicate and very and the necklace is cool
EDIT
Here's the cards. I love the steam punkiness of them

I've just got back from town and my parcel from Lisa had arrived I'm so chuffed with everything - will post pics later today.
I personally prefer the system of favouriting items. I think a ratings system could be open to misuse and trolls.
They look cool - I love the Chemistry Cat Cards
I was going to go into work Thursday and see if my parcels there but I'm also thinking Monday mornings are usually pretty meh, especially after holiday so it might give me a lift having a package to open on my first day back at work. So I thinking rather than go into work on my holiday I might wait till I'm due back on Monday. I hope thats okay with Green Duck.
