You should watch the original series with Ian Richardson. It's extremely dark but very apt considering our current government.

I love the Cravendale ads with the cats with thumbs
The Others was an excellent ghost story without any goriness. The Ring is also amazing. I haven't seen the US remake though but the Japanese original is brilliant and I don't remember it being gory, just scary. I'm also a fan of the Final Destination films but they are a little grizzly in places.
Some of my favourites are: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Snatch, Terms of Endearment, Photographing Fairies, Don Juan De Marco, The Maltese Falcon, Fargo, Wonder Boys, The Prestige, Almost Famous, Stranger Than Fiction and Breakfast on Pluto
I used to love a cartoon from my childhood - the Drac Pack. It was very cool and me and my friends used to run around the playground with our coats on our shoulders pretending to be vampires like the main character, Drac. I also like Futurama, Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny. I also used to love Scooby Do, Battle of the Planets (I think) and Captain Caveman oh and Dogtanian as it had a cool theme tune and I wanted to be the black cat (can't remember the characters name now)
I love Tim Minchin, Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran, Steven Wright, Rowan Atkinson and Eddie Izzard. My favourite funny actors are Robert Downey Jr (esp in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) and I also like Michael Douglas when he's playing funny roles - Wonder Boys has me crying with laughter every time.
I love Love Actually and Home Alone. Also some of the oldies like Miracle on 34th Street are really magical
I generally prefer UK but we do make a horrendous amount of rubbish too. I think sometimes we fall down in the UK by trying too hard. Does anyone remember when the UK tried to do the Golden Girls - I think it was called Brighton Belles (or something like that) - it was cringe-making! UK/Ireland wise I like Blackadder, Spaced and comedians like Eddie Izzard, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey. US I like Spin City, Scrubs, Frasier and comedians like Stephen Wright.
Johnny Depp wasn't such a fan

I remember watching this interview the first time when it was on telly
I remember this. I only saw a few episodes when it was originally on back in the 80s. It was how I came to like Johnny Depp He must look really young if you watch them back now.
