Michelle every time I try and look at the Alice thread on the film & tv board my computer shuts all the windows I have open! It really doesn't seem to want me to look at it which is a bit odd. I has occasionally done this in the past to things I've looked at on MSN but this is just odd. This therefore means I can't view the episodes you posted. I'll have a look on you tube though.

My mood is all over the place at the moment that I'm finding it really hard to cope. I seem to be managing to go into work and help others with their problems but then when I come to go home I'm shaking and feel tearful. I've also noticed that when I get like this my thoughts are not just negative but they turn really cynical. We have an out of hours mental health helpline that I could call but when I'm like this and when I got home from work today I was crying but I had convinced myself that the helpline was the equivalent of a cake which you cut into and find its just icing. I think my thinking was that it looks inviting but calling it is ultimately pointless. Talking about how I feel to some random stranger feels too hard as I struggle with the phone when it comes to talking about me. I did one thing which I hope will help. I telephoned my psychiatrists secretary and left a message asking for my appointment to be moved forward.
It feels at this moment like I'm managing but I know that a few minutes on my own thinking the wrong kind of thoughts will lead things to spiral. I've been living with this now for over 2 years. I've suffered with depression since I was about 8 and have had about 4 episodes lasting a few years but this one just seems to be going on and on..... It lifts for a bit and then it goes again. Its as if being well(ish) wears me out and I can't keep it up any longer and I crash.

I don't think there was any real or deep reason behind him taking them. I suspect he took them because he could. By this I mean breakups are never clean and tidy in my experience and they can bring out the worst in all of us at times. I've done the pettiest things in the past to make myself feel a bit better and more in control. I spent I whole evening going through old photos and neatly trimming an ex out of all of them. I then cut him into tiny little bits and tipped the bits in the bin. I suspect taking something so personal to you and him made him feel good and in control. As time passes I suspect he will look at them and wonder what the hell was going on in his head but there is so many feelings going on when the break up is fresh that sometimes you do things which make no sense.

I used to have mine shaved really short up the sides almost as far as the original pic and there is still a fair amount you can do with it when its down. I sometimes used to do a french plait (i think its a french one, where you start with a skinny plait at the top and gradually add bits). I used to have mine completely shaved though, a bit like Violetta's husband and I used to love the feel of it, especially in the hot weather. It stays quite cool and I used to get called velcro head when it was freshly shaved Happy You can also do extra bits and bobs with colours and ribbons. I used to have the hairy bit coloured deep red and the sides a dark blue. I would go for it if I were you. You only live once and it great to experiment while you can. I'm 35 now and although I don't feel too old to do these things, I just don't have the time or energy so I'm glad I did it while I was younger.

Wow Xrenaxriotx that quick work getting your partners t-shirt refashioned. Everyone please don't feel rushed. I've deliberately given till late April to get refashioned t-shirts sent out as some of you are posting further afield than others and also it can take a while to get inspiration.

I wondered if the last one was a bit of all of them. I love them even more know I know the thinking behind them. I'm feeling a bit like you before tho, I'm not sure that mine measure up to others as I didn't put mine on a background :/

I used to co-facilitate a craft group where I work (daycentre for adults with MH problems) and Origami went down quite well. We worked from a book in our local library and made flowers. I've also got quite a few tics and love crochet, I think its the simple rhythm that I find calming, probably a bit like you with knitting. I also asked a similar question about 6 months ago on the arty crafty section and there were some good suggestions on there. One was tapestry - even though the young man in my art group who I needed ideas for has now left he did get on with cross stitch quite well. I'd just recommend having some needle threaders on hand too if you're going to try anything involving needles. I get a terrible tremor some days and I can steady myself when I'm on my own but sometimes if I'm aware people are watching its really hard.

Don't worry Kim I'll love them. Mine are also not as fancy but I just love the idea behind them and enjoyed making them. I also loved how cheap this was as a swap compared with some of the others I've done. I had all the materials and postage and packaging was so easy as I was justing posting to someone else in the UK Happy
