Osteoarthritis is the one caused by wear and tear isn't it? Is can be bloody painful as I run a pain support group at work and several of the group have it. There are things that can help though. I'll check with the group and see what they recommend. We had a Occupational Therapist as a guest speaker at the group a while back and I do remember her saying that there is a lot you can do with diet so it might be worth getting referred to a dietician or nutritionist. The group are also after 'Arthritis for Dummies' as we got hold of a copy from the library and were quite impressed with that. Also alternative therapies can help too, I massage someone with arthritis and I know she says its helpful. She also saw a acupuncturist too which she said really helped.

Accidently sewed two of the front panels on back to front! Doh!
I've set myself a bit of a crazy challenge. I wanted to make myself a dress from this cool sheet I picked up at a local charity shop but had forgotten how to thread up the sewing machine. Its been so long since I have used it I've had a total mental block. This got me thinking. I'll make it all by hand. A lot of work but I'm doing okay at the moment and its quite relaxing just sitting on the sofa with my fabric and a needle and thread. Anyone else fancy doing the same? I'll post a pic when I'm done.

I started this as I was adding to the current thread on what your reading and it got me thinking about when I read the Rainmaker. When I finished that I really missed Rudy (the main character). It was like he was someone I'd got to know. I wandered if anyone else has had that? I've had it with other books too but can't think of any of the top of my head right now.
I'm reading so slowly at the moment so still reading a passage to india. Its just got really dark as Dr Aziz has got arrested I actually realised I was worried about him earlier and had to remind myself that he's a character in a book. I found when I read the Rainmaker years ago I missed Rudy Baylor (the main character) for ages afterwards. Does anyone else find that?

Yeah the Jade thing was pretty grim too. If people want to remember Michael Jackson they will play his music. As Izzy said all this 'RIP Michael' isn't actually letting him rest in peace. And all okay have done is remind his family, who probably want to remember him when he was well, what he looked like when he was dying. Noone wants that memory of someone they love.
