I don't know anyone but I really love this idea, it makes me feel like I should go around telling people I'm a 'craftster' and we have 'craftstars' to get inspiration from! Just feels like a club that I belong to which is always a nice feeling.
I'm not trying to sound like I'm kissing arse here but if this was going on on another craft site I'd well nominate you Cat, the stuff you make is awesome! I'd also nominate m_m, miquette and grace
Looshkin is a character from a comic called 'Bear' by Jamie Smart, and he's on my myspace and I posted a comment on his myspace saying how I'd made a Looshkin and he posted a comment under the picture I put up on my myspace saying
'that is EVERY type of awesome ^_^'
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hehe Just thought I'd share.
I loved their first album and I just got the latest and have yet to buy the others. Their latest had its lyrics written by use of a ouiji board and a lot of strange things happened while they recorded the album which resulted in one of the member breaking the ouiji board and burrying it. Members of the band went a bit nuts and a few got fired, their studio was flooded and electrical equipment kept going on the frink. So I've received my copy and there's a huge crack right across the front and I'm terrified of listening to it now hahaha I 50/50 about ghosts. Anybody got it anything strange happen since getting it or listening to it!?
I have quite a colourful wardrobe, today I have an orange top on and I've got jeans on and to tone it down I'll wear a black cardi, I also have bright orange leaf earrings that go with it but don't make me look like a carrot or burn off peoples eyebrowns cuz I don't go out in all one colour. Bright colours don't look stupid unless you put a load of different ones together, and if you're worried about sticking out then well like I said don't wear lots of different bright colours together or an outfit made of the one colour lol.
yeh it's easy when you know the names of the stiches, because it's like a starting point. I have been taught in person all of them from the textiles 'unit' we had at college and I got the hang of them really easily after I was shown a few times and practised after about 5 mins and I'm sure there's videos on youtube or somewhere on how to do them.
I'm adding a little plug here for isew.co.uk which is sewing as the name suggests but would help with sewing too, seems relevant!
I need chairs! and I need clothes! But I don't need a name to make something wonderful, or a big price tag. That's my only issue with designer things, the price you pay for something you could get in a high street shop for waaaaaaaaaay lower made with almost as much quality. They show you in fashion magazines, the 'pay day' items and the 'treat' items, they're usually very similar with only the label that's different.
I don't know much about gardening but maybe it was because she was exposed to so much salt water so get her some plant food (aaw her hehe) maybe go to your local garden centre and ask what to do?
I hope nothing else was too badly damaged!
yeh save the polar bears!!!!!!! I'm still gonna turn all the appliances off before I go to bed instead of using standby and use efficiant bulbs. Maybe my great great great great great? grandchildren won't see as many species, but hopefully my kids will when they're born like.
OOO I used to be as bad and can still be! Do your homework first it's the only way to get it done and done well and then have time on the computer. And then you might be too tired to come online for aaages and only come on for an hour.
I made a version of the tiny crochet panda bag but in knitting it was fuuuuuun. I forced myself to finish it just so I could put it up here lol
Simpsons mooooviiieee on the small screeeeen. First time I watched it I just thought 'oo it's just a giant simpsons episode' but the more I watch it the more I appreciate the story because it's not the usual way that they write, usually it starts with something really irrelevant that leads into the rest of the episode that's different to the beginning. It's amazing that Simpsons still entertains people.
I love the x-men films and I think I used to watch the cartoons.
aimee ray *thumbs up*
yeh learning a few stiches it all you need which you can learn if you just google the stitch.

Rach - if you have any tank girl comics I'd be interested. I have some craft wire in green, black and blue but not much really although I could get you some.
I'd love fabric but I have to write a list of stuff im gonna make with it first
I don't live that close to a beach but I have a TON of shells from when I went to the beach last june. I had some that were still stuck together that I was gonna use as little earring holders but I sat on them when I left them on my bed in the dark lol so just have even more seperate shells, I'll do something with them one day.
we put the clocks forward an hour lol I've never heard of it before. Some newspaper or website published a report saying that even if we all cut down on electricity and stuff we'd stop global warming by 7 minutes. I do really care about our planet but we aren't gonna get anywhere with China and India becomming more westernised, they want our cars and our appliances. I don't see why they shouldn't though, what we have has made our lives easier, but it will add to the damage. Also China is using a lot of coal still. I'm sorry to put a downer on it but I really don't think we're going to be able to stop our own destruction. I want to live in Sweden or somewhere that's 'greener' cuz i bet the air is a lot purer.
