Let's Knit recommends CO+K!!!! I'll take a picture to show you all later! I usually don't buy this knitting magazine but it looked better than the one I usually buy...it had free wool too So I found it funny that I'd bought it and look what was in it!

really we should put one up but anyway learning from a video is the best way to learn if you can't get someone to show you, you need to learn how to knit first and get that down and then learn how to purl.
http://uk.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+knit&search_type=&aq=f if none of those are any good then just google search it, it takes a few times for it to click.
I might make a video though
Cast on - you put loops onto the needle then knit them, this makes the first row
Bind/Cast off - this is when you finish a knitted peice, you knit two together and pass the 2nd stitch over the 1st.
k1 - knit 1
p1 - purl 1
k2tog - knit 2 together
it's best that you learn how to actually knit before learning the above, cuz it won't make sense unless you can knit really
oo cool! Mike would have never done that lol! what else did you do?
Me and the boy want to go to london again, so I'll have a look see at ticket prices. But he said that if we went again he'd just pay for 1st class tickets because last time we sat on these fold up seats right next to the toilets! LIKE PEASENTS!
Edit: 125 quid for two sets of return tickets and that's just standard tickets and then we'd have to get a hotel and etc etc! Because I'd rather go on the Friday before and come back Sunday after, maybe another time
I'd love to go but it would cost about 100 quid to get there and back
I almost forgot how to knit and purl because of how much I crochet now. I gave up on the first row cuz there was that many stitches the bit of wool you get going across from the needles got so long i ended up with knots and I got annoyed! I definatly want to try knitting this cardigan, hopefully I'll have enough money tomorrow or next week for the wool I need.
I wish I'd learn to crochet earlier I find it so much easier then knitting too
booo come to my house and show me! my mum has remembered how to crochet from me showing her but can't remember anything else but basic stitches. Books are useless too. I think I'm doing it right since the stitches increase and it doesn't look wrong.
omg how cute are these http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5347491&order=§ion_id=&page=1 im gonna make up a pattern or find a pattern for a doll and adapt it!
So I just want to make sure I've got increase right it seems to do what I want
The little arrow is pointed at where I have to work into it again, usually I have 2 loops underneath the one on the hook so I go for the 2nd loop from the loop on the hook and work that in sc, thats right yeh? (Pic stolen from Nix and changed around by me)
no idea I've only been crocheting for a week lol It looks likes a different pattern for the band, you probaby have to increase stitches after it for the bit the dreads go into so that its tight.

I thought 'well I'll have a look just incase' and then I couldn't stop until I found one, didn't take too long either. How come when I want to find knitting patterns I get crochet patterns and when I was crochet patterns I get knitting patterns!
ok I won't be able to do it when I come to do it but I'll try thanks!
EDIT: ok I managed to increase stitches...it doesnt look like crochet it just looks like wrong knitting lol
in the bit where you can see the two loops riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight across the stitch on the hook?
also what does 2sc mean, it feels like it should be obvious but isn't!
I'm going to go get a book about it from the library but I'm gonna look for an American one, there seems to be more patterns and things from Americans. So to increase a stitch I do a single crochet, and then instead of going into the next stitch I go into the one I just did!?
OK, I am getting a little bit pissed off at these crochet how tos that go 'do this this and this then you have increased a stitch its well easy' they just assume you get what they meant
how do you increase a stitch!?
