i dunno, the pictures get wet and as they dry crinkle, just science me thinks! Try using a mini roller or putting less water in the stuff you use if you have to mix with water that is, or try another type of glue stuff?

you hang on to it and then decide to part with it (not just paper) and then you finally need it! I just did that with a load of cardboard Happy I was gonna make handmade paper for my harry potter prequel book but didn't think it would make it through the printer.

you are so right about ribbon

we had to make like a million collages for the graphics part of my course and they had to be made up of right angles only, apparently that's the only way you're supposed to do it!!!? this was supposed to be an art course!

yeh all you have to do is stick all the stuff onto the paper you put in the books. Measure exactly in the middle of the card and make the spine etc like in Cat's how to. There are others where they just fold up: Here

you could try to find paper clay, its clay mixed with a lot of water mixed with paper fibres so its a lot lighter and you can do a lot more things with it then regular clay. I don't know where you can get it from though, I made mine with the teacher at college. I have work at college made of paper clay and I was able to put a lot of extra detail using bits of the paper clay on top of more paper clay, normal clay would have collapsed with the weight.

I don't think there is, it's just because of the way it dries, it shrinks as is dries, like clay, only clay is better...try and find some mod rock, it's heavy, much heavier then paper mache but dries less lumpy. It's the stuff they put your arm in when you've broken it basically.
