Thin and light, there are rings on here which are all wrapped rather then just one loop for the bit that goes on your finger but you could use wire thats a bit thicker for rings but you don't want anything too thick or it will be heavy. You'll find it in a craft store or ebay, just ordinary craft wire will do and they do it in colours now too
yeh I'm gonna try to make cards and things with xmas coming up and getting peolpe i know to take them to work and things
anyway from the 25th of this month till december I'll be going along to these dog training sessions for the experience never know, might land me in a job, might take my dog along too
well I was hoping so, but no one wants me.
because that means filling the house with dogs lol or going to someone elses house for a week or a day and it doesn't sound that much fun really, hopefully I'll hear from those companies. Just got an email from one but he can't afford to take anyone on, he seemed very nice though and offered advice about getting into the industry
thank yoou but I can do that
I've emailed several local dog walkers and dog trainers so hopefully something will come from those without having to do it all myself!
thanks guys! There's no dog walkers in this area but I just found one dog walking business in the town.
I just did some research into the legal side of things and starting up your own business. I think it's free to register as self employed and if I'm the sole trader then it avoids any red tape, I would have to tax returns and contribute to national insurance but because I'm on benefits I can't really go ahead with this until I'm sure it will work. I don't have any savings or anything to invest into it but now I really wanna do this haha. It's not very neighbourly here really, I only really know my next door neighbour and next door but one and neither have dogs. I'm thinking of putting up leaflets in local shops for 2 weeks to a month to see what happens.
So this really should go in General but meh...I'm thinking of starting my own dog walking business, but this ain't no Manhattan! I know that my local shops near by would be willing to put up a business card or note in their windows for me but I really don't know if it would work. First of all I'm worried about getting prank phone calls, barking down the phone at me and such lol and second what if someone just leaves their dog with me and runs away from it!!! I can make my own business cards and I suppose I could force myself to do PR work again and hand out my cards. I'm thinking £2.50 for an hours walk and I'd book up to 3 dogs a day if it's popular. And new customers get free doggy treats! It's just getting the courage to go for it!
I don't know the thing with those plastic things is that you wouldn't have to do anything other than just put the resin in...have you not tried ebay? just put in mold or resin mold or fimo mold.
Did you ever have one of those chocolate factory set/game things? There might be a mold in one of those in the shape you want, or you might be able to find some plastic packaging from something in the shape.
well they have an online shop
I really don't understand HobbyCraft..I tend to craft because it's cheaper and funner then going to a shop for a card or whatever and there's all these old ladies spending looooads in there and they don't know they could get it cheaper somewhere else just because something doesn't say 'Card making thingies' doesn't mean you can't use them for that it doesn't make sense!
You want The Range - type your postcode http://www.therange.co.uk/bin/venda I bet there will be at least one range in London!
resin: http://www.therange.co.uk/invt/283967
my favourite love hearts are the white ones.
I think it's probably best to try it out first a few times so you know what you're doing more when it comes to the proper project. You waste less that way and the tester might come out great anyway so nothing wasted
egg shell, my mum found blackbirds egg shell (I think)outside and I tried to use superglue as resin and it just wouldn't dry so I had to throw the shell away and I had had it for ages!! but next time I find an egg shell I'll get some resin I think I'd put a flower in resin too I wonder if it would preserve it like amber and tree sap does to bugs! I haven't really looked for resin in the craft shop but I feel like making some earrings or a necklace
I sold a doll's necklace on ebay, I had 8 of them made from stuff I had lying around. Ebay listing fees were 1.15 the necklace was 3.00 and when I put the money from paypal into my account they'll take off 50p so i made 1.35! but if all of them had sold I would have made a better profit. So really you need to sell a lot to make a lot.
