Creepy...there are some people that repeatedly start new profiles and leave msgs that say stuff like "I am a beautiful single girl and would like to get to know you, I want to send you pictures and blah blah blah"
There was a guy on here awhile ago and he kept telling me I was beautiful, because he just had to let me know. This is why I deleted all pictures with my face and try to keep my face out of new projects.

I would suggest you take close up shots to show the detailing esp. if you are making jewelry. As already suggested have a clean background. a piece of black fabric would even work.
I am sure your town has train tracks, preferably abandoned...also try old warehouses or even abandoned rail cars, or old barns...You could always dress people in dark see through stuff and do ethereal pics in a dead field...
What about in a junkyard? You could get old ballgowns from the goodwill and tatter them up too look like dead prom, or even old nightgowns all tattered with ripped up wings in the woods could be faeries (the evil kind)
CEMETERIES! Esp around dusk or early morning preferably when there is dew or fog.
