Peplum tops are good as well.

http://www.sewdaily.com is another good site with free patterns. I stumbled on it a few weeks ago looking for a motorcycle jacket pattern.
Congrats!! I look forward to seeing pictures of your little cutie. (^_^)
Anybody here love Polyvore? If so, I'd like to check out your sets and follow you.
Here's my profile:

Thanks a lot ladies. I'll have to look into that. I'll do some searching on hand sewing etc. I know I need to learn that stuff anyway. The sewing machine makes me lazy lol.
I'm looking to start incorporating a few couture sewing techniques into my projects. Anybody out there know of some (free) resources that'll teach me what I need to know.
Thanks for reading and responding,

@Elizabeth W. you took the words out of my mouth! When I was in high school, they called me "Skittle" b/c that was all I ate. I love sour patch kids too.
Another good blog to check out is:
mimigoodwin.blogspot.com
Her tutorials are geared towards beginners. Her blog is also a style blog but she does sewing how-to's as a well.
I post weekly how to's on my blog womantoanother.com. If you have any questions about sewing feel free to message me and I'll be happy to help you out (^_^)
Perhaps you could make a stationary set. Notebook covers, laptop bag, and even cover a couple of soup cans with the fabric to hold pencils and pens. I saw thishow-to a while back and it came to mind when I read this post...

Hope that helps (^_^)
I don't know how to post a photo to the board so I'll leave a link where our photo is located.

This is me and my husband (^_^)
@monkeylibrium That's a great idea! I do a Fashion DIY every week on my blog http://womantoanother.com. You're more than welcome to do one of my projects. Let me know how it turns out and I'll post your finished project on my blog.
You're very welcome (^_^)
It would be nice if sites other than Youtube could be used. I use Videofy.me and would love to be able to upload my how-to videos from there.
Thanks (^_^)
Ok...so...I'm definitely going to check out both of you ladies' blogs.
@Laurenzoe, don't get discouraged if you don't have many followers yet. My blog is in it's 2nd year and my followers are just now starting to pick up. Just b/c people aren't following doesn't mean you don't have traffic. So keep at it. If you're interested, you could put your blog on Bloglovin'. It's a good way to get followers.
I just went over to check it out but it said it couldn't be found. Is it "The recycling rabbit"?
