It's light and peaceful and I'm surrounded by all my favourite things.
Tell us about your space
My craft room is technically my bed room but my my craft supplies are slowly taking over. I started out with just one table a few boxes of supplies under the table and over the last two years this has grown. Most of the time you will find me making cards, sewing or filming tutorials but I'm also learning how to paint.
What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?
I have several little plants in my room, also I have teddy bears, vases and glass bottles to make my space more attractive. I recently painted all the walls white, I find this makes my space more relaxing and peaceful.
How do you keep organized?
most of my supplies are in either boxes or open containers. I love to collect pieces of pottery, but I make sure to buy pieces which can also be useful such as a mug for holding paint brushes, a flower pot to hold paint and bowls to hold pieces while I'm working. I love my pottery collection and I'm so glad that I get to admire and use it everyday. I keep all my stamps and dies in folders, this keeps them together and stops them getting damaged. I have sequins and embellishments in little tins so it's easy to see what I have.
Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?
I like to group things together based on how I use them. I keep useful tools in places easy to access. I find that the easier your supplies are to reach the more often you will use them.
Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?
My favourite things are my die cutting machine (dont know how I ever lived with out it), my watercolour palette, some colourful bottles of ink I have lined up on shelf and my collection of fabrics. I have a few of my creations on display, I have a few mini textile pieces and a couple of paintings.
How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?
I have a box full of photographs I took when I was on holiday and I use these as references when creating. I also have a few books about art and I find these inspiring.
Where do you look for inspiration?
I love watching YouTube videos to find inspiration. I also find lots of inspiration on Instagram and Pinterest. When I go on holiday or go out somewhere new I always make sure to have a camera with me so I can take lots of photos for inspiration.
If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?
I would love for my room to have a sea view.
I would like to have a room that's just for crafts and not my bedroom as well.
I wish my room would keep itself clean.
