I started knitting again last Jan(after over 11years absence!) I love it, haven't crocheted yet, need to get better at the knitting first.
I found this site for some tutorial videos for crochet

Eien: Your noodle soup looks yummy, we always make lots of different things with our leftovers, turkey curry, turkey sandwhiches etc so good
Reneé I have never tasted deer meat, but last xmas we had reindeer pate, it was so delicious! a lovely crusty pastry wrapped around it, so good on crackers Very expensive
I really like your headscarf! Did you crochet it? It will be great wider too, keep you nice and cosy
Amy- If you go to the projects page, there was a great one posted on how to make a holly broach for christmas, from beads and earring backs!
The difference between purl and knit is that you put the needle through the stitch on different sides, basically. I found about.com's knitting section very helpful, if you need it
Sorry Reneé! We posted the same time lol
Your project sounds cool, I wanted something like that, but the only ones I found were really advanced.
I was looking at a pattern for a knitted hood, it looks so lovely, but the tassles were cabled and I haven't done that yet eeek
Thank you I was debating whether or not to keep it hehe I'll give it to her though
It is moss stitch, I really like it and it's a really easy sequence to remember. Works with multiples of two stitches
row 1 and 2 knit 1, purl 1 across
row 3 and 4 purl 1, knit 1 across, repeat for however long you wish I got the stitch from about.com knitting section
I finished a scarf for a friend for xmas

I am a fan of My Chemical Romance and the singer Gerard Way just wrote his first comic, he has a history in comics and went to art school in New York, I haven't read it yet as I am reading the Buffy at the moment, but it has gotten great reviews. The art is done by Gabriel Ba and cover art by james Jean. "The Umbrella Academy"
I here that Joss is going to continue on from the last season of Angel in comic form too!! Can't wait
I would say that is fine by me
I have become obsessed with pie's lately! They are everywhere! I am watching a tv show called Pushing Daisies a comedy and the main guy works in a pie place and the pies all look so delicious! mmm pie
Yes As everyone is in different places, some will take longer, for me here the last day to post a small card is the 19th Dec, but I suppose it would be best to send them earlier, just incase
ooh I love the favorites! I think I may have to favor everything!! lol
I have a project that has no steps, coz I did it ages and ages ago! Would love to pop that up
I'd love to join in
That is so beautiful! My friend is having a baby next year and I am bookmarking every cool kids thing I find!
Where did you buy the kits, may I ask?
I made this tshirt. I made the character on this cool Hero Generator http://www.ugo.com/channels/comics/heroMachine2/heromachine2.asp
<div class="thumbnail"><a href="http://myskitch.com/northern-star/heromachine_2.5_-_the_ultimate_fantasy_entertainment_hero_machine_generator___ugo.com-20071117-202428/"><img src="http://myskitch.com/northern-star/heromachine_2.5_-_the_ultimate_fantasy_entertainment_hero_machine_generator___ugo.com-20071117-202428.jpg/preview.jpg" alt="HeroMachine 2.5 - The Ultimate Fantasy Entertainment Hero Machine Generator | UGO.com" /></a><br /><a style="font-family: Lucida Grande, Trebuchet, sans-serif, Helvetica, Arial; font-size: 10px; color: #808080" href="http://plasq.com/skitch">Uploaded with Skitch!</a></div>
Then I printed it out onto transfer paper and ironed it on to my tshirt, but I think some steam got onto the design before it was ready, as it's all blotchy
