How did you get started?
About 20 years ago, with a need for a bead store in the heart of downtown Portland and a love of beading, we opened up shop with a mission to share the love of beading in a gracious and fun environment.
Where are you located?
617 SW Washington St., between 6th and Broadway directly 2 blocks North of Portland's living room, Pioneer Square.
Which products do you specialise in?
We have a wide range of items for sale including, seed beads, wood, bone, glass, vintage German glass, semi-precious stones, charms, spacers, findings, sterling silver, 14k gold filled, chain, cord, fresh water pearls, shells, buttons, Swarovski crystals, books, tools, artisan jewelry, incense and more! We have a great loose bead selection and strands as well.
Do you have a particular favorite product that you sell?
We really love our agate geode slice pendants and gold capped quartz and amethyst pendants along with the semi-precious stone beads. The antique skeleton keys are pretty neat too.
What's on the stereo?
We have a wide range of music playing, such as; reggae, belly dance music, African and world music, Native flute, jazz, Air Supply, Lauryn Hill, St. Germain, Otis Redding, Beats Antique and more:)

Do you host any workshops, classes or special events?
Yes! We have weekly basic classes and many other beading classes that are scheduled upon request. We also host beading parties and children's workshops as well.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know?
We strive to help beaders along their way whether they are just beginning or if they're experts. We also offer jewelry repair services such as bead restringing, pearl knotting, wire work, switching out ear wires and clasps, glueing and more! We love to make custom jewelry pieces for our clients and can create custom bridal sets as well.
