Swap rip offs

Good idea Jessica, but it would be better to make a topic for it on the board instead of searching for everyone's profile, whereas all that kind of info is in one place. I would think that a moderator, and possibly two people can do the job of moderating, should start the topic. Sug, hun? Are you gonna be that person and either ask for a helper or someone volunteers? I'm here on a daily basis, so I will volunteer if you taking any.

I forgot to mention that the score (or the red flags) would also appear under the avatar pic.. where the # of posts are. I found it very helpful.. usually people with "red flags" were too embarased to come back, knowing nobody would swap with them anyways.. only issue with it is if someone gives false negitave feedback. I found this site a little while ago.. and am becoming addicted.. you all seem super cool and I hope I can contribute to the awesomeness of CO+K. I often get stuck in a rut.. so many craft supplys.. not enough ideas. Since I found this place.. let's just say im not bored anymore.. thanks everyone

I thought about that too Michelle, but I remembered that this site is about sharing your crafts with others, so I didn't think that they would want to impose something like that. I mean, they have no say really on what goes on with swaps, it's basically us swappers who choose to participate, it's not like swap-bot or etsy where you are bound by rules where swaps are concerned. But if there are some that I haven't come across, then by all means, they should mediate and/or moderate.

but we are all a great bunch, and when a swap goes wrong...one of us will step up to the plate. its like we are a family, and we help out

omg, I can't belive that two people spazed out on my swap. GGGRRRRRRR! I helped one person out and now need one more person to help me. sigh.

next time I have a swap, only peeps I know are aloud. Its not fare to the swappers

This is exactly what I've been talking about, I'm gonna start screening people for my swaps, or be just like you Michelle, only people I know can join.

I think it was great of Sug to start the newbie swap, but I was thinking that maybe we should make it mandantory for newbies to complete the newbie swap before doing others. Usually it isn't a problem, but sometimes (like now), it is!

aw sorry to hear that michelle! that sucks so bad.. sug you should defenently start that post maybe just make a topic that only you and if you have a partner can post in write the names that didnt send to people and every time they dont send add a 1,2,3 by there names if it gets to three no more swaps for them... every one can send pms to sug and her partner if she has one and let them no who didnt send.. that is if you still want to do it sug

Ah yeah right Jenna, I'm swapping with a newbie from that swap too and haven't heard from her either. Luckily on that one, I haven't sent that one out yet though. She said that she was gonna send it, but never confirmed if she did or not. So I'm not sending, until I receive first, may be wrong in doing that but I've been burned thrice too many times on these things.

It would be nice to have a seprate forum/page so we can keep track of all swappers progress in current swaps and complete swaps thus way we can use as a reference for the host/hostess to make the end call to let them participate.
