Swap rip offs

I think I'm just gonna join swaps where there are you guys participating and if there is a swap that I really want to join and a newbie joins too, I will specifically ask not to be partnered with them. I hate that I have to single people out, but it's not fun when don't get what you expect.

sug maybe when you are monitoring them you can do like a three strike thing? once you notice someone has done it three times with no good excuse to why post there name on a list so everyone knows. unless you think thats to many chances.

I hate to say it, but drea has a point. Its just not fair to not send anything...so maybe we need to enforce our policy. I think communication is key

and if they really sent it they should have a recite.. how ever u spell that lol maybe to save them from being on the list they can post there recite..

it boogles my mind that people would be so rude as too simply write off a commitment like a craft swap. don't these people have some kind of moral compass like the rest of us? ANYWAY i've only done one swap here and it was a lot of fun- i'm sorry some of you are getting burned. i agree that there should be some kind of 3 strike deal- but who and how would someone track that sort of thing?

we got ninja sug....she has swap angels...just tell her someone didn't get their swap and she will wip it up. I also have no problem doing something like that too, If I am running a swap and someone didn't get theirs, I will send them something

I'm all for that idea too because that's a list i will definitely take the time to check before entering a swap if it were available. It is sad that just to enter a swap has come to this. They used to be fun for me, I still like making for swaps and I'm all for sharing my creations, but IT'S A SWAP! If I just wanted to give my stuff away I would be on a corner somewhere. Wait, that didn't sound right (hehe, that's my mind being naughty) but you all know what I meant. LOL
But yeah, there should be a three-strike rule and for us hostesses, we should post that in the swaps. Either way it has to be monitored some how, they have something like that on swap-bot and people do warn wanna-be participators that if their swap history is not up to par basically, they won't allow them to join.

I have an idea..
I used to be on a ATC trading site.. the way they handled this problem was a points system..you leave positive feedback on the persons profile if you have recived the item when promised.. neutral feedback if the item was late and/or you had a bad experience trading with that person.. negative if not sent at all. This way.. you can see the reputation of the person you may want to swap with before you commit to anything. Just an idea.. I hate that people can be that rude.. makes it harder for the newbies (like me) to get into any swaps. And all the hard work that went into it.. In my opinion, its stealing! They should be ashamed.
