Tattoos & Piercing
Don't have it in a place that will hide it if that's not where you want it!
I'm sure someone said they branded you....but the carving thing makes more sense but OUCH
Yeah I'm worried about rushing into a tattoo because I want one so badly. The only ones I really want though are a pentacle on my lower back, and wings on my shoulder blades. And something on my stomach, now Roma said about the childbirth thing!
I think tattoos are beautiful, and my mum always drums into my head that you'll regret it when you're old but I think I'd rather have a reminder of when I was young and passionate, rather than trying to grow old with "dignity" *cough*resignation*cough*
Do you think it's a wise idea to do some home branding? I'm always burning myself on the stove and it leaves a mark.. for a while. It seems the perfect option. Free and pretty.
yeh because it's less likely to get infected i mean how many of those burns have ever become infected? and scars fade so if you get it wrong and don't press on so hard ( i wouldn't be able to press very hard on myself!).
I don't regret my tattoo at all even though I annoy myself when I look at it and wish i could erase some of it and make it exactly perfect! I can't see one of her pupils unless i look on a funny angle and some of the lines look a bit blurry. I think I can't regret it because it's there now but also I designed it myself and she's got a whole story she's called root and lives under trees and eats roots when she's not on my leg , she goes at night! I might regret it one day when I'm old and it's all blurry and not what it was when I got it. And the other design I have is so me since I designed it omg I want iiiittttt. I forgot that you both (KK and Roma) are younger then me lol
You're only a year older than me?
And yeah, none of my burns have ever got infected. I definitely think I'm going to experiment.
I really want a little star like my friend has even though that's a bit generic...I'm thinking a little leaf I wonder what i could heat up to do it and I wonder if I would faint. Every time I mention fainting I always have to stress how I can take pain but my subconcious must think I can't and so 60% of my blood is temporarily removed from my brain (learnt from The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Night Time) and I faint.
well i'm going to do a little wire thing.
i might try it out tomorrow and do a how-to to go with it. unless it's highly inappropriate and not suitable for cut out and keep.
Just be careful Roma, your a smart girl so I'm sure you will be prepared, don't want you to get hurt I think I'd rather the scarification than the branding.
yeh I go nuts when people do self tattooing and peircing or go to dodgy places for tattoos, so maybe put your hand under cold water when you've done it and put savlon on it or don't do it at all I don't want you to be hurt either! And yes I'm only a year older then you Roma.
I think it could be interpretted as self harm and say a self harmer comes on here and sees it and thinks 'ooh thats a good idea no one will see that I'm actually just self harming' and then they might have friends who do it and then they'll all do it and get no help!!! worst case scenario.
God Roma, you're braver than I am!
And also with tattoos, if you desperately don't want it anymore you can go over it!
depends on the design you want covering up
When I was waiting for mine to get a touch up a woman walked in and said 'I've got 'Mark' here can I cover it up with 'Gary' ' if the first time you got a name done and it didn't work out very well with that person why would you want another name!!! and you can't cover up names with another name. And sometimes the tattoo underneath the cover up starts coming through. Ink is being improved all the time so I bet its so hard to cover up tatts now and going over scar tissue means more likely to get infected and that it must hurt more! but it also means they won't fade easily
Getting a name tattooed is silly anyway, in my opinion. I get the sentiment, but there are so much better ways of going about it.
This guy I know used to be very racist and he had "WPWW" (White Pride World Wide) on his wrist, and a swastika on his ankle, but he went over the wrist one with barbed wire and the swastika now looks like a cross inside a circle with dots in each quarter, if you get me.
Yeh I'd never get a name, not even kids names I'd probably get something that represents them.
This dinner lady at my secondary school wrote every name of her lover on her arm
and then when that passed she crossed it out and got the new one underneath, and so and so on
she ended up looking like a barcode for a lesbian society. It was amazing, I loved her.
Over here in Iceland there is a trend of getting your own name tattood on you! Stephens sisters husband has her name and their two kids names done eughghh the kids names are in that huge gothic Beckham style really tacky
