I know what you mean about the flat hair, mine's really fine and thin so I can do pretty much nothing with it. I thought about getting layers to try and make it look a bit less flat and dull, but I asked my hairdresser and she said it wasn't a good idea. And thinking about it that makes sense, because if I did get layers my hair would get so thin it would look like I was going bald! haha.
I keep thinking I should get wigs of different hair styles and colours, it would just make everything a whole lot easier

haha thanks everyone, i absolutly hate that picture now though! almost 30 quid for a haircut and I put it up the next day!!! That place i go to is great though they do exactly what you ask for, they listen! and they dry your fringe first before cutting it so when it's dry it isn't a cm long lol.

I was gonna get extensions today because with it being thinner now they'd probably work but i'd end up with the wrong colour or something so I'll just have to wait. 5 more months and i reckon it will be about 2 inches longer and then I'll be fine and then I'll just let it keep growing The hairdresser was really impressed that the dye in my hair was still really bright considering the length of my roots!

EDIT: Izzy - have you ever tried volumising shampoo or putting in volumising mousse before drying it? I lift up my layers and put hairspray underneath on the roots and that gives more volume, that might work for you, i use this wax stuff sometimes as well but it doesnt work as well as spraying hairspray on my roots. I'm the opposite I need layers to thin it out!

My friends keep telling me that when they see your icon they think its me [my hair is your colour hair now, my icon is a few months old, bwhen it was bleached red ish]. and now they will get even more confused because thats my exact haircut, except my bangs go down to my eyelids.

haha thaaanks *blush* it's weird that I suit it red, but it really warms up my face yet if I went blonde I'd probably look washed out and if i went black I'd look dead! unless it had blue or purple in it.

opposites - I use Schwarzkopf Live XXL, it's in a blue box. The first time I used it it went orange, probably cuz I had so much roots coming through and I'm like an ash colour naturally as the hairdresser said so I got a different one and dyed it again like only a few days later but i neeeded to and that one was called '(43) Red Passion' and it's 'waterproofed' so it lasts longer, less colour comes out in the first couple of washes, the other dye i used to use was good but not this good!
