Hair rollers?
I bought some velcro rollers today with the plan of getting a Dita Von Teese-esque look to my hair, but I can't really work out how to use them. How wet should your hair be when you put them in? How long do you leave them? Can you sleep with them in?
Someone help me pleaaase

Thanks honey bunch!
I've given the rollers ago and only taken out my fringe so far which has curled beautifully, although I don't think I used enough rollers or big enough ones, as I have pretty long hair. I put it up about six and it's still not dry (it's not 9:40) but that's because my hair's long and thick. To hold the rollers in place I've wrapped them up tightly with a thin square scarf (vintage, might I add). I'm gonna try and sleep with them in but if it's too hard I'll have to bite the bullet and take them out tonight!
The problem is, you really need to do them before going out, but I NEVER have enough time! I always wash my hair the night before =(
Well, we'll see...
you could probably do them the night of going out, if you did them dry, but sprayed some water on to dampen them a little and then used a LOT of hairspray lol
What a plan! So what, just spray them with water, stick them in rollers for half an hour or so while I'm getting ready and use hairspray? May see if I have time to do that on Monday before my gig, I'll have about an hour to get ready haha.
Maybe comb water through your hair first then pop the rollers on, dry with hairdryer and hairspray, I would test it first just incase it doesn't work! Don't want you all happy bout your hair and then it just goes plop
Just an idea, I haven't used them in forever so I can't think of a nice simple easy way, other than that.
Well if it doesn't work and I'm running out of time I can put my hair up in a bun or something.
My hair's too long for this really, and too thick and it's all layered and whatnot. Oh well. I look like such an old lady right now, wearing my cosy jumper, glasses and hair in rollers and scarf. Yum!
hehe cool
Well I'm trying again. This is me with my hair in rollers. I went for a pretty leopard print scarf this time (not that it matters one bit)
Aww reminds me of Corrie for some reason lol joking!
Let me know how it turns out
Well the fringe bit went mad so I had to straighten it. And some other bits I had to straighten too cause they stuck out too much. I basically ended up with my hair a little bit more curly than normal =P but I got some tips on how to do it properly from a girl at my work who's taking a hair and beauty course =)
well thats cool, least you tested it first! haha
I suggest if you want to sleep in them, you get the squishy foam ones.
You should try hot rollers they work so well you have to have dry hair to put them in so it works for you ie before going out and they work my hair dosent curl very well but with hot rollers i get super cool curly hair.. another thing i got told is to use a curling agent in your hair before u do anything so it stays there and dosent fall out.. so yes go hot rollers
i'd just use my babylis you curl and then flatten the curl with my hands and hairspray
