I could NOT get my nipples done, not because I think it's nasty but just because I really hate for anybody to come at me with needles and I couldn't do that myself.
I've done every piercing I have myself except for my hip.

I'm not big on ink jobs, but if I were to get anything, it'd be something on my rib cage. I love outlined spinal tattoo's on guys though, my weakness! haha

your surface peirceing is awesome i want to get a jacobs ladder are they pretty hard to take care of i hear all these horror stories about ppl getting corset peirceing that leave really bad scars from not being A taken care of properly or B not being done right
but imagine a needle going through a bunch of nerves thats what its like to get your nipples peirced thats why mine are staying closed i know what it feels like im not stupid enough to do it twice well two nipples x 2 so im not stupid enough to do it four times ha lol

Tell me about it! Getting things pierced for the second, third time are so painful. I've had snakebites three times and each time was worse. I've completely given up on it because it hurts so bad and my lip swells up so much on that side.

Corset piercings, I could not do! They're one of the most hardest to keep, the madison and hip are the absolute hardest and the most likely to reject. I had my hip pierced for 2 weeks and it was showing signs of rejection, my mom flipped and made me take it out. I have the nastiest scar now because of it.

I'd love to get my madison pierced though, I'm all for surface piercings. They're just so hard to heal!

when i got my snake bites done it didnt hurt because the guy who did it put the clamp really tight on my lip and left it their until it kinda got numb Happy
the right side didnt even bleed though so that was cool 45 mins after i got it done i went home and ate cheese burgers and cheese cake but then a few days later after the swelling came in my friend made me a specialty burger he worked at wendys anyways it had tons of bacon and two pattys on it with lots of cheese *drools* anyways it was so big when i took a bite it made my peircing bleed a little Happy

I love corset piercings, I think they look incredible but I want tattoos on my back and I'd find it too hard to take care of piercings on my back. I'd quite like back of my neck done but it's the same problem again, maybe I'll get a tattoo there instead

I'm sure that corset and neck peircings grow out quickly anyway because they're surface peircings. I'm reeeeally considering having the Japanese for 'Earth' on the middle on of my back just before my neck starts rather then having a little globe done on my wrist. If I get it numbed before I have it done I won't faint, but I'm a little scared of fainting again it's just a pain in the bum to faint rather then just sit there get tattooed and go!

I know there are issues with getting numbed before piercings, I dunno if it's the same with tattoos though

I got my current one numbed when I got it re-coloured, they remembered me so suggested it and it stopped me from fainting. I fainted twice in the 3 times I went, 1st time to get it done, 2nd to get it re-coloured and after the 2nd time they suggested that I came back another day and get it numbed. They put it on and you have to wait an hour for it to take effect if it's a big tattoo they get you to go back in sessions so that the stuff doesn't wear off but the numbness lasted hours!!!

It's definatly the adrenaline not the pain, I always say that but it's cuz I really can take the pain I don't think it hurts that much! I said to someone how I fainted and they were like 'OMG it hurt that much' me: 'nooooooooooo I just said it's not because of the pain because it doesn't hurt much!'

I could not get a tattoo, it would take too long!

Kudos to anyone has the balls to do it because I most certainly do not. I'd black out or something!

I think I'd be okay, I don't mind pain so much, I just faint from injections and things like that! I know it's still a needle and going in my skin but it's not the same thing

It's true that you get used to it, it's an odd feeling but if there's a risk of fainting it's just easier to not feel it because that makes your subconcious think about it. I have to point out every time that I can take the paaaain, it's just all subconcious that makes me faint. I'm worried about my next one incase I faint even with it numbed. I just concentrated on things in the room last time and actually described things to myself in my head. I know one design I definatly want I might just get that next since I can't decide on an actual globe or japanese for earth I feel that that is a little bit cliched getting the caligraphy I'd rather have an actual earth!

this is the design for the next one that I want but I need to put in something to represent my Welsh heritage, I'm thinking of putting in an oak leaf rather then a made up leaf shape because wikipedia says the sessile oak is seen as a symbol of Wales, never heard that before though. I'm thinking more carefully about this one, I love my current tatt but I still think I decided too quickly, regret the face of the fairy a teeeny bit.

Bow and arrow for saggitarius (starsign I share with my mum and my nan but I never met that nan).
Leaf and feather trailing from the bow and arrow which represents nature.
Moon represents the moon.
Paint brush - craft and art
M for Mum, McIntosh (family name on my dad's side) and Mike but if I split up with him it's got other meanings and he will always be an important part of my life anyway.
Bee represents the letter B of Barbara my nan's name, but I never met her.
Ying and Yang for obvious reasons although I might have a little globe instead.
Q - for band QOTSA
Cupcake and teacup - for fun!

My mum was like 'oh pleeease don't get another tattoo' and then I said what the bee and M represented and she went 'er oh' BLACKMAIL MWAAAHAHHA

phew long post!

Aaw that's so sweet =)

I almost fainted when I first got my ear pierced but it is a conscious thing, the second time I got it done the girl noticed that I was breathing too shallowly (?) so she got me to calm down, inhale then exhale as she pushed it through and I was fine. Until I saw the blood that is =P

i just wanted to post something about corset piercings most ppl associate a corset pierceing with two rows of pierceings down the back however i would like to point out that ive seen ppl get them down both sides of their ribs and on their abdomins ive even seen them on the backs of ppls legs so if anyone is seriously thinking of geting one done keep your options open because their are many different very beutiful ways to have it done that are versital and unique to the individual
btw all the tattoos and peircings that have been posted in here are pretty sweet
