And ditto on Felecity's answer. You'd would have been hung out to dry walking around in that scandalous short skirt! My Word! lol And StarLeigh is spot on about the belt too. The skinnier the better.

i used this dress as inspiration;

mine turned out with the colours reversed (red with white dots and white details) and with a tucked in tee instead of the dress bodice.
and i agree with the others, especially about the skirt. what i found on the internet, before thinking up my outfit, showed skirts in that time were mostly over the knee. but i'm no expert :p
