I'm sorry you had to go through all that Emma Happy I became friends with that girl a few years later and she told me all about what was going on back then, it was sad as I felt like I had neglected her.

I think I was lucky in secondary school that we had a uniform which had long sleeves, so no one was subjected to any hassle, unless you did p.e, which I didn't after I was 16. I was pretty clueless about self harm until I was finishing school and I had already missed the signs of it in a friend who had dropped out of school and I subsequently lost contact with, so even though some people may see this as a "scene" thing to do, to be cool or whatever, it's not just that.
So if you think someone may be harming themselves, don't slag them, ask them why? I wish I had.

Vintage is huge here in Reykjavík, Iceland. We have so many vintage stores. Some is over the top dresses, mostly they dress like 80's fashions, I suppose thats mostly the Indie/arty set.
I don't like how most people dress here as they all dress alike and that is soooo boring! skinny jeans and capes, leggings and flat shoes.

I'm still reading the god delusion, but at work I am listening to The Diary Of Anne Frank on my ipod, it's read by Winona Ryder, who I think has the perfect voice for it Happy I'm half way through and I am loving it!

Do you know why he is afraid of heights and flying? Has he ever flown before? Maybe he could take some anxiety pills or something.
I am also terrified of heights and of lift off and landing while flying. I have given in to my boyfriend on a number of times and climbed crazy things, the eiffel tower the grande arche, but couldn't make it up the windy staircase in Notre Dame and I regret it now.
I don't know about the pleasure flight, unless you warn the pilot beforehand, as they always tend to fly crazily! Well from down here it looks crazy. I think definitely he should take a short flight somewhere if he does plan on going. Good luck though.

I was always into drawing as a kid and showed promise, but for some reason my mother decided she didn't think I should study it in high school and made me drop it. So I lost all my passion for it and it left my life until I moved here to a small town in Iceland with one shop.

I had to send cards, so I bought some markers, glitter paper and glue and made my own! It just blossomed from there really, I moved to the city found a craft shop, started picking up things I thought I would like and then found craftster and when I found CO+K thats when I was really inspired. Now I knit, sew, paint whatever!
It's just me and my boyfriend so I suppose you could say I do it to take my mind off being alone so much and I love making things for people and hearing how much they enjoyed it Happy

I baked my cheesecake, it's from a Nigella Lawson recipe, that I got on someone's food blog,
    http://www.insanitytheory.net/kitchenwench/wp-comments-post.php
We had to wait until 10pm to test it, which is why the lighting is so bad. It was well worth the wait, it was bloody delicious! It is a basic cheesecake, with a sour cream layer at the top. mmm
