I applied for a loan here a few weeks before the crash, I was denied as they brought in stricter rules(you need a guarantor who owns a house, I don't know any) so I suppose I am lucky I didn't get the loan!
Yeh it sickens me they can find all this money to bail out banks and financial institutions, but what about the bloody has petrol crisis that has been going on for yonks now!? Or like you say Queeny the hospitals and many other needy causes! bleh

Well I see from the news today they are trying to figure out how to pay back the money to the UK account owners as soon as possible.
So many charities and councils have money tied up in the banks, its pretty sad and I hope they can get it all worked out
Well I know a year ago, these big financial heads were saying Iceland was heading for a fall, due to the banks taking out huge loans and giving huge loans etc, and of course the government and the banks said "oh no nothing like that could happen, we are fine" ;)
" Just 36 people have done that" Roma, pretty much all of the commercial business in Iceland is owned by the same people and in Britain too! It sickens me it really does.
These guys with their lavish lifestyles and private jets bleh
It did start in the US and had a knock on effect, I am not sure of all the ins and outs of it all though.
Well seeing as I am living in the country where all these big greedy banks are from, it's affecting me quite a bit.
The isk has dropped in value so much that in euro I am making about 100e a week!
Everyone is offering such vastly different exchange rates that no one is sure how much the isk is worth! My bank wont send our transfer to ireland as they can't do things like that! wtf!!! I know I am not alone, all the foreigners I work with are in the same boat, they can't send money home.
I know the situation in the UK is pretty bad and lots of people have lost their savings due to the Icelandic banks collapsing and we are being made out to be the big bad guys
It's the fucking banks, they are so greedy. So much shit is going down over here and I don't even understand half of it. Iceland is such a small country the money the banks owe to the various countries is probably triple or more the GDP of Iceland!
I'm sorry to hear your boyfriend lost his ISA We are lucky we have no savings here or a mortgage.

I think if I didn't have my ipod I would not have lasted this long! haha Such a life saver, just blank out and listen to tunes or podcasts bliss.
Oh I'm so happy for you leaving the crappy job!
I am actually cleaning hotel rooms too I hate it. I have just been on summer holidays(39days, bonus for living in Iceland!) but I am back Saturday and feel so depressed. I hate it, but as I'm not fluent in icelandic yet I have very little options.
Good luck to you in finding another job!
I think you just have to keep reminding them that you are a couple, tell them what you do together, I am sure they don't want to think of you actually having sex with him, so maybe lay off the sleeping together stuff, just reintroduce him to your parents and maybe slowly they will grow to like him.
I'm with my bf 10 1/2 years now and we went out for 3 months when I was 17 and my mother made me dump him, she thought he was a bad example, he didn't live at home, was older, mysterious, had long hair! We broke up and were back together 5 months later, they eventually came around. He was slowly allowed to stay over, as he lived far away, but only downstairs on the couch. They eventually realised what we meant to each other and now they love him.
Well it was me and one of the staff(I was sunday manager) he called the Ugly sisters big shit head
I've had the opposite where, really skanky people have come in and bought something really small with a big note and tried to confuse me then by saying oh I have a 5er here, then saying they gave me more than they did, I always turned out to be right, I'm not thick.
This one guy though called me ugly when I was telling him no... He was so angry that I wasn't falling for his scam fucker
Somehow I think in China the opposite would be true Queeny, they would have to do training ALL the time and nothing else.
I'm sorry to hear that I think if you like what Sugar says, something she can take with her, even if it's small. A bookmark with something written on it, like "cupcakes make the world go round" with a smily cupcake drawn on? Even just a card she put in her wallet, to look at and remember you when she maybe stressed.
I have no idea, really, if it's a cover up from the top, then everything would have been destroyed of their "real" age.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I'm just saying, from I have read, there was a site that displayed a story about some of the contestants when they performed in a competition before the Olympics and that site made them out to be 13 or something, but when some journos called the IOC to tell them, of course that page had disappeared by then.
Really at the end of the day, if they lied, that girl will grow up knowing her win is tainted, if not well then, she won a gold medal fair fucking play to her
The thing is they did check before, but their documents say they were over 16. So if they are not over 16 then they lied.
If you would go for the chance to win a gold medal, with full knowledge that you are underage you are breaking the rules, regardless of it being a great opportunity. So again I think they deserve it, if it turns out they are underage.
I will just say that I didn't watch any of the olympics, I have only seen a few pics of these girls and they do look very young.
Here is one story:

If it turns out the girls are underage, I think they should have the medals taken away, as the girls KNEW they were underage, the team, coach and country all knew(if it turns out, as there has been signs of a cover up) So as there are age limits set in place, then fair is fair, take away the medals.
If she is that good, she can win the gold again, with pride legally!
Well things may be looking up already for you Thats good news. I suppose you just can't let it defeat you. Move on, you know you can do it
