I probably should get started if I do but last year's christmas failed for me as I had a fight with my mum so I didn't bother finishing any xmas projects. I want to turn around this year's xmas so I think I'll finish off some of the stuff I started, like these cone shaped gift baskets to fill with baked goodies for friends.

go queenie! I need to start back again too
wow, that is a really good idea, and if you post each craft on CO&K it'll be really easy to monitor how many things you've made! I am sooo going to do that!
Jen E. I don't think the member who wrote this topic is active any more so they may not get your message Thanks for the tip though!
I'm sure you could find the slides on the internet somewhere. I had some slides in a microscope kit I had when I was younger so maybe have a look around for some of those kits and you may find replacement slides somewhere close by!
In australia you can get them from speciality bead shops so maybe have a look around for a shop that sells beads only.
near us they have these kind of hippie music festivals and they have lots of stores where people sell handmade stuff and if you go on the website and register you can set up a little tent selling your wares so maybe look into that.
I haven't read it, what's it about?
yeah, it might be cheaper on ebay it just depends, well good luck with your embossing endeavours!
I don't know the answers to all your questions but I do for the first one- embossing powder was not made to be used with shrinky dinks, it was meant to be used with rubber stamps but as ppl have found it works great on the shrinky dinks, so there aren't certain embossing powders for shrinky dink art just buy whatever you find.
See if your craft store has embossing powder rather than going on Ebay as in the end it'll probably work out cheaper unless your craft store doesn't stock embosing powders but it is quite common so they should do.
Now I'm just guessing but I'm pretty sure the embossing powder wouldn't make the shrinky dinks that much stronger, it'd probably just mak it feel rougher.
Also guessing with your last question, if you put enough on it probably wouldn't show through so I'd apply the embossing powder liberally.
computer cases sound cool!
you can buy fimo at your local craft shop, some places don't sell fimo they sell Sculpey, there's also another brand called Premo(I think). In Australia they sell sculpey and fimo, I've only used sculpey which I bought in the little kids section on the craft shop coz they think only little kids want to use clay! So check in that section. I heard on the internet that Premo is the best as it strong once baked and flexible when moulding it.
If you're wondering about starting a business selling it, first you're going to need to practise with the clay. I reccomend (if you haven't already heard of it) starting up an etsy shop as the people your products will be aimed at will most likely look to this site and apparently it's quite easy to set up a shop. here's the address: www.etsy.com
queenie- what are pullips?
ooh flower arranging would be fun! I think as part of the cottage industries class at my school, ppl get to do a bit of flower arranging-not sure if they use real or fake flowers....
Personally I don't really like the normal crochet that much, I like the amigurimi(I think that's how you spell it) but to do that I need to learn the basic crochet skills.
K@ti- yeah post your crow! you need to post more of the stuff you make!
