I totally blame parents for everything, it's your child, take care of it!
I cannot agree more with this. On everything!
My mom wanted to meet the parents of kids I was staying with if it was a sleepover.
And in all my childhood and teen years I only saw TWO other parents do that. No one else ever checked to make sure the parents are ok people and not crack heads or leaving the kids alone for the night.
This also makes me feel you are responsible for your kids even if they aren't at your house. Check on them, ultimately only you are responsible for what they are exposed to.
Don't be a helicopter parent, but don't shove them in a room alone either.

I work at a luggage and baby item store. I man the internet and bills for them. I used to also take photos and do photoshop for them for the website. But I hardly do that anymore. It unfortunately developed into yet another customer service job. It's not terrible but I keep ending up dealing with customers in my job which I don't want to do anymore. It got old a couple years ago.
I was wondering outloud why people calling in to my work were being so pushy. It's supposed to be the time of year where we are nicer, remember family, and slow down to appreciate a home cooked meal.
My co-worker pointed out that people are stressed, trying to do everything, and want their presents to already be wrapped and ready to go.
How sad.
Opposites girl: That is so beautiful! My friend is having a baby next year and I am bookmarking every cool kids thing I find!
Where did you buy the kits, may I ask?
Thank you. I got the kit from a Joann Fabric. It was near the quilting cottons on the wall. They have a boy set, girl set, sports, spiderman, and other cute things like that. It comes all wrapped together on an 8x7 rectangle. It was $16 I think.
Believe it or not... Sailor Moon.
That comic is beautifully drawn.
Has anyone seen the I'm a Marvel and I'm a DC skits on youtube?

HILARITY!
I've gamed since what? 6th grade on the first Nintendo I begged for for a year. To me it's fun and another thing to talk about when you are with friends. It's nice to be able to say "Holy s--t, can ANYONE get past level 9?" and have everyone erupt in stories about it.
Zootm is right, it's just another vehicle telling people what gender roles are appropriate.
I know! why don't we just do what we like. That sounds like a grand idea.
aww I can't get to it. It gives me an error page.
Reading the Bento Yum blog has convinced me I REALLY need to start packing my own lunches. If I choose the right stuff it won't be a soggy tasteless mess by munch time.
I'm going to make a menu and go to the grocery store to buy what I need.
Ooo I like. It's warm and it being a head scarf make it a little classy.
I would like to taste deer one day. I wonder if I would like it. Roast sounds like a good way to have it.
I made delicious turkey noodle soup yesterday. It was my first try and during the Turkey Day shopping I bought noodles for the leftovers to convince myself to make it. It's easy! I wish I took pictures to post it as a project here. I had two bowls and plenty was left but Peter came home and ate it ALL. But he called me at work and thanked me. Gonna try chicken next.

MySpace has blogs. If you get a my space account you automatically get a blog. There is of course Live Journal too. Cat says we will be getting blogs here soon as well.
I blog on my myspace account, browncoat account (Firefly fans), and cosspace(Cosplayers). Myspace gets updated the most and the other two get updates from the myspace account when necessary.

next up is George Clinton - Atomic Dog

Ready made quilt sets FTW. After the first couple of quilts where I spent half my time measuring and cutting just to make sure it was right it was really nice to open up the set, make 6 cuts and be ready to sew it all together.
I had some scrap fabric left over from making a baby quilt for my new nephew so I made him a little star pillow out the the backing fabric for him to drool on and play with.
I always thought 2-5 days after Thanksgiving. I have always thought Christmas more than a week before Thanksgiving is silly and overshadowing to what should also be a respected holiday of being thankful especially when Christmas has gotten so gimme gimme.
I saw Christmas stuff and heard Christmas music BEFORE Halloween this year. What the heck is up with that. All those stores want to do is get you in the mood to shop and line their pockets.
