Nice! Fellow fans!

I heard about the movie. I hear it's for next year or something like that.
It has been a long time since an american produced show had an epic plot/ show with continuity/changing characters Last time I saw anything close was Gargoyles. I liked that show too but missed so much of it I got lost and stopped watching.

Right now I think Nickelodeon is screwing around with it. A friend of mine figures Nick has a 3 yr span they like their toons to run and after that they ditch them due to the attention span of their normal audience.
At the moment they aren't promoting a damn thing. No commercials, no announcement of when new eps air (they just do randomly) and they are airing them in other countries first. People are just going to download them when they show in Canada and not tune in to the network. Then nick can say, look it's not popular anymore....cancel it.

Also another sore point with Nick, the toys. WTF, no Katara. They made Sokka, two types of Aang, Zuko and a firenation soldier. They claim girls don't buy action figures. Way to promote a sterotype. Lets not make a toy of a capable teen girl...what will the parents say?

Vest are a good place to start in my book. You can get all crazy with them. I think the next one I make will be of Kente cloth for a steam punk outfit I want to make.

There is a JoAnn fabric near me that is closing. They had a few patterns left over for .25 cents and this is what I got.

So that's what I'll be working on. I'm gonna Victorian up that night gown. I have wanted one for years. And the coat is so cute. I just love the collar.

Oh and thank you for the feedback on the vest fabric. Dull side won by one vote. It's in the works now.

I need some help picking out which side to use for this vest:

I am about to begin work on another vest and I thought I made up my mind to use the shiny side but now looking at it the dull side might be the one to go with. It shows more detail in photos.

Keep in mind I plan on wearing this with jeans. But I also cosplay and this can end up in a costume down the road.

What's your pick?

I am so very happy I gave this show a second chance. I wrote it off 2 years ago after 30 seconds.
Then fall of last year I saw an fight sequence from "Bato of the water tribe" and I was all $#%&@ this is 5 shades of awesome. Then proceeded to watch everything to catch up.

Anyone else a fan?

This one will be in my closet when I get around to making one for myself. This one is I made for my mom. It's a bath kimono. The sleeves aren't showing up but they are nice full rectangles.

Me and the Joanne Fabrics and Michaels Craft Store are good friends. They tend to take a 1/4 of my paycheck.
Occasionally I need to shop at Tandy Leather shop. I'm very lucky to have one of those within 10 miles.

I also shop online for fabric on ebay and such for rare finds like 6" silver mini fringe (it was darn near impossible to find)

All i have to say is Good go some place else I don't need someone who is as annoying and impatient as you bothering me when I could be helping someone else who is nicer and more deserving! and that is my complaint. I hate people. (some of them anyway)

I work an an online luggage company and I am sick and tired of people ordering 3 business days before Christmas and getting pissed off their order isn't there yet. What the heck were they thinking?

I like the Totally Rad Show which talks about games, movies, TV, and such.
Also Diggnation is good. They talk about the top web stories of the week.
WebbAlert is getting better. Not sure if I like it enough yet. Morgan Webb talks about tech stuff.
I also like Photoshop Killer tips and Photoshop TV. They have really neat tips they show you.

I'd like to see other recommendations to find out what else is good out there. It's hard to know what's good without wasting time looking at a lot of stuff.

Danielle, I'm so sorry sweetie. It makes me fear to try to sew for profit.
For you I would try finding an organic baby store. One of those places that eco friendly moms go so their baby can have all natural, home spun goodness.
People pay a LOT of money for that stuff.

I feel guilty killing something that took so long to grow so I could have it for a couple weeks. I'm no hippie but it seems a waste. We had real ones when I was a kid but after we grew up we had a fake one. When I moved out I had a real one cause I worked at a store where I could get it for $10 bucks.

If I have children I'll have a real one with a root ball. Of if we can't have one due to a cat or pollen probs I'll have a really nice fake one and spray it with pine scent.

One thing I liked about real trees is vacuuming up the needles.... they smell wonderful in the vacuum as it blows pine scented air out the end.

Gamer craft! That is so cute how you dressed it up with tetris. It will prbably save his DS from damage a few times and he will silently praise your craft skills.

This is what I made this week. It happens to be gamer craft too.
