also Lastfm does something similar - if you join up and scrobble your music it will suggest bands like the ones you've been listening to. It will also create a radio station like your stuff.

These are just some of the bands that come into my head, considering it's midnight it's not too bad a list...

Try Avenged Sevenfold, my favorite metal band, you will fall 4 them, lol. Also try Dream Theater, pretty darn good, and Black Veil Brides, they don't have lots of songs but everyone just stands out in the band.

ok its not all metal but a few of my favs or past favs are: Arch Enemy, As I Lay Dieing, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Black Tide, Bless the Fall, DropDeadGorgeous, Devil Sold His Soul, Devil Wears Prada, Disturbed, Eyes Set To Kill, From Autumn To Ashes, Greeley Estates, H.I.M, Haste the Day, InFlames, I Set My Friends on Fire, Machine Head, Metallica, Shinedown, Sick Puppies, Sixx AM, Ten Masked Men. Like i said some are more screamo, heavy, hardcore, rock n metalcore but its an awight selection if ask me!

@lolEffects I kind of lik a couple of songs fro Avenged Sevenfold so I will certainly get into them. I have also heard of Dream Theater since I'm like bands such as Mastodon and Between The Buried and Me

I wouldnt really say that any of the first people u mentioned are "metal", except Otep (who i love). But oh well.

I have to suggest my 2 favorite bands ever.
+ Smile Empty Soul (theyre hard rock/metal)
+ Korn (especially the first album or 2)

Both these bands have changed (and saved) my life. And are phenominal in lyrics/music/videos and live shows.

Also try Metallica, Kittie, Megadeth, Rob Zombie, Rammstein (but they speak german), Slipknot.
I'd also suggest Nirvana ...but theyre not really metal XD ...but they did pave the way for american metal.

Girlschool, Pantera, Drowning Pool, Anvil,and The Sword. They're all great bands.

You should try some 70's bands. They are amazing! You might enjoy them as well. Happy

I am currently really enjoying Disturbed, Bullet for my valentine, Korn, Amon Armath, OOMPH! (as stated above), Godsmack, All that remains, DragonForce, A perfect circle, Blaqk Audio, and Deftones. Happy
