What to do with old patches?

I have a bunch of old patches from back in the day, and I have no idea what to do with them!! Any ideas? Some are from the WWII era, some from the Vietnam war and the 60s and some from bands I like. Suggestions?

Mount them on plaques or frame them on a piece of mattboard.

Stuff like that should probably be preserved since it's pretty significant historically. (The war ones that is)

As for the band patches, maybe sew them onto a jacket or purse you use all the time.

This might seem a bit random but bear with me! It'll make sense in the end!!
Use them to decorate a snuggle blanket.
When I was a girl guide leader, we took the girl on a few camps. At the end of each camp they would be presented with a patch for that camp (name & date or landmark significant to the area or something similar) and we suggested to them they could use them to start customising a camp blanket. By sewing (or bondawebbing) them onto a fleece blanket, they had a blanket for putting round their shoulders at campfire plus a record of the different camps they had attended. It was also a talking point at larger camps with girls from other areas. And if you had a badge from an international camp...well then you were REALLY cool ;P

I agree, i just attach patches to anything to decorate. If you dont want their attachment to be permenant, just attach them with safety pins instead. True Punks would use band-patches to cover up holes in their clothes even. Happy
It would be so cool to have old patches like yours tho. The really old ones, from the war and all, might actually be worth somethin. I'd put them up and display them somewhere.

Bindi: I was thinkin of doing something similar to that with my patches. I handmade a TON of patches (of bands mostly) to sell (with no luck), so i was gonna attach them to my t-shirt quilt when its done. XD

I have a few patches from vietnam and other random ones, I use them in my collages! They add a nice "pop" to the flat images. Simply glue it to the canvas and then decopauge. Adds an interesting touch Happy
