inspiration
I am in love with all things kitschy! I've been on a vintage plastic charms kick. ANYTHING weird inspires me. I'm also loving robots, monsters, zombies, and (yes this is weird) human organs (I embroider images of them) right now. Maybe I should be a surgeon.
life
I'm usually inspired by a combination of emotional energy, stuff I see around me, clothes other people are wearing, and completely random connections from my mind. An example of the randomness is that I associate certain colors with certain music, so I'm trying to put together an outfit that represents my favorite song at the moment.
I do things according to my mood, but music also inspires me, bizarre things, rainbow colours, the rain. they are so many things....
For me I also like organising so creating homes for things is good. I also find rubbish really inspiring too which is a little odd. I like the challenge of turning something old into something new. Also charity shops are brilliant.
Also I get ideas from the books I'm reading. I read a wonderful book recently, the Knitting Circle. I then had to go out and buy some wool and needles and knit a scarf
I have to say mood, life, colour, my personal travels
I get my inspiration from my life, my inner feelings/thoughts, colors....
and just staring at my art supplies...be it my sketch book, my art box.....or something I've even worked on before

As silly as this is... lately the clothes from dressup games and pixel dollmakers online have inspired me.
no, thats cool
I love being inspired by different cultures, especially the funky, punky-type of Japan. The cuteness is overloaded there, my god. Also, you'll find many bright colors and daring styles of locals in Japan. These inspire me to create wonderful and adorable projects, and art of course.
I'm kinda weird. I get my inspiration from almost anything, especially commercials, movies, pictures, and books especially. I just finished reading The History of Oscar Fashion. It lists designers, and award winning actors, actresses and movies. Not to mention it was awesome to see how fashion has transformed from decade to decade. I randomly found that book at my local library and the cover is covered in black velvet (or Im assuming its black velvet).
I actually got a folder saved on my computer with everything that could possibly inspire me. I love looking through the folder and coming up with ideas.
And I can't forget about my friends. I have such a diverse group of friends. Some are more outgoing and social, while others are more quiet and shy. I just love that some of them are from different countries and have accents. Most importantly, I love it when they tell me about the other countries. It's so amazing to know what they're life was like before they moved here (here being u.s.a).
