Choppy haircut? Blue semi-permanent dye?
Alright, so I'm going to get my hair cut soon, and I want a cut with short, choppy layers that gradually get longer, so overall with shoulder-length hair, so sort of a scene-ish cut, i guess. If any of you guys have ideas or if you have hair like that, could you post a pic to hep a sister out? Thanks!
My other problem is that I want to bleach the front section of my hair and dye it BLUE. I'm thinking the Lagoon Blue from Punky Colour ("Directions" in Europe), but I don't know how well it works! Any advice or ideas would be much appreciated!
I have blue hair (green next month =] lol) and for me manic panic and crazy colour never fail. However I have heard that directions works very well too.
If you are bleaching your hair yourself learn how to bleach properly, assuming you don't already know or you will end up with platinum roots and the ends of your hair won't change (like I did)
Here is one of the best galleries for semi perm hair dye I have found so far:

Hope that helps =]
I have bleached bangs and I color them with Manic Panic. The pink washes out too quick (after one wash I have to color it again). But the blue lasts foreverrr.
I used to use Directions' dye (I just have white/platinum hair now). I've tried most of their colours, but the blue didn't last very long. It started fading quite a lot after 2 weeks, whereas the pink and purple lasted 4-5 weeks before looking bad.
I used to use Crazy Color in Blue and had to dye it like every 3 colours, bearing it mind it had been bleached from dyed dark read, and I ad to dye it every three washes or it went a manky khaki green colour...
I tried directions aswell and it didn't dye it in the slightest :S
I tried these a whole 10 years ago though so the dyes may have changed in formula since then.
It also really depends on the condition of the hair too - the more you bleach it the less it will hold colour.
When you go to get your hair cut make sure they dont razorblade it! Unless you have thick hair because usually when they layer your hair using a razor blade it makes your hair extremely thin and limp.
After bleaching your hair make sure to use alot of conditioner!! Make sure to buy a nice thick conditioner and leave it in your hair for about 15 mins. If youve never bleach your hair before and dont know how its going to turn out make sure to learn or else your going to bleach your skin and ruin your hair.
Also dye your hair the darkest blue color you can find so that way it takes longer to fade away. Never use that hair dye at Hot Topic, it sucks
Splat hair dye has a really good blue color. It was kind of blackish blue. I ends up looking really cool, and lasts a good while.
