I have a pierc in my lip and nose and I got 8 holes in my ears.This saturday im going to get my first tattoos...Scared a bit...

I have been thinking of getting my first tattoo and have finally decided on my design. I want a very whimsical and elegant emblem of The Looking Glass Wars . It's a book based on the Alice stories by Frank Beddor. I want to get it on my right shoulder since my weight fluctuations will not be affected too much around there. My younger sister got her tattoo done days after her 18th birthday and it's gorgeous, very existentialistic though. Always wanted another piercing but being a preschool teacher in training doesn't give too much options.

just want to advise you girls on something, if you ever plan on having kids, do not get a tatt on your belly(around belly button, near hip, side of tummy) my sister did and when she was pregnate, the tats stretched and never whent back to the same shape. Just something to keep in mind.

I have the good ol' belly button. I tend to forget about it and have had it for 7 years!! I have two holes in each ear and my right bottom lobe is stretched to a 8mm tunnel. I like the stretched look. But no bigger than 10mm. I am hoping to get a tat this summer and road trip up to a friend who is a tattooist. I have three designs that I have been working on. I will start with my fav and depending on the pain, go from there.

I have a fair collection current and planned. lets start small.... standard ear, top of both. then an industrial/scaffolding in my right. and the belly button that i've had 7 years also it's cool you take the bar out and you can see right through the hole. i did have my right nipple done for 12mnth but when i went into hospital at the beginning of the year it healed up.

Tattoos: CURRENT: 2 - top of back in center is a tattoo that matches my best friend. it's got a hatchet man with the words 'soul mate' in jap and the date we met under it. and MY 1ST TATTOO (mummy got me for my 18th) is a Cranky/Pouty Tinkerbell! on my lower right back.

FUTURE: i had 3 people die in my family this year so i'm going to get a pair of wings tattooed to remember current and past angels. a sexy tinkerbell on the other side to my 1st. between my tinkbells will go a matching trible butterfly to my mum. my ankle belongs to a heart with some vines around it and finally when i find a home for it a little red fox.

I have six of them. They are all very special with deep meaning, though not the most flashy.

My back: palm-sized cherry blossom outline with shadow, and kanji 幻像 (meaning "apparition" or "illusion")

Neck: my "kamon" (japanese family crest)

Middle of Chest: tiny crecent moon

Arms: One kanji 希望 (meaning "hope") and the other is sanskrit for "strength" or "power"

I love body modification. I'm thinking with the idea of becoming a tattoo artist ...cuz regualar art isnt paying me well. lol

Piercings: + 10 ear peircings (5 in each ear) ...6 of them are stretched to 8g ...still stretching some more.
+ 1 Lip/Labret stud (i just got it! & love it!)

Tattoos: + 1 on wrist, designed myself. Says "Skys of Blue". Has great meaning to me.

And plenty more to come. tehe I eventually want half-sleeves on both arms. :O
My tattoos actually only 1 month old. I love it. It makes me feel complete.

I really love body mods, but to a point. I don't really enjoy too many facial piercings that much.

I only have a few currently. My nose, labret, and three in each ear (my bottom holes are stretched to 22 mm). I do plan on getting one more piercing though, my tongue, so that I can split it later. And I have only one tattoo, my 'Frankenstein' stitches around my left wrist, but there's always a chance for more. =]

I have my lobes done once on each ear. Did have a second in one ear by it got all infected, yum. Planning on getting 2-3 more in each ear.
I have ivy up my side from hip to ribs. LOVE IT. Am going to get it extended from rib up to my shoulder. Am thinking of a few more too

I wanted my navel done for years and was far too scared to get it done and then completely went off the idea. Then years later I'm well up for it again, but with that same old fear of it hurting. Yes, I'm a wimp, everyone tells me that...
Some places use numbing spray/cream and others don't. I kind of want the numbing cream so it doesn't hurt AS much (it never really works well with me), but some piercers say that they don't like using it because it's a shock to the system when it wears off and some people have a funny reaction.

So, question.... Who had their belly pierced without numbing cream and please rank the pain ta.

Numbing cream is illegal in the USA ...at least thats what a local tattooer/peircer told me. Or maybe its just in my state, anyway ...Its just not very hygenic or safe to most people. I think it would only make it hurt more later when it wears off. I've never heard anyone recommend it. ...i wouldnt think its wise either. But the pain of mods are part of the experience. =)

And just so u know, navel/belly button peircings usually have a lot of trouble for people. Since its a high-motion area and gets hit and unintentually tugged on a lot. And it gets infected easily. You have to watch it and take care of it A LOT to let it heal proporly ...and most of the time it doesnt fully heal for 1 yr. But if u pay special care to it, it should be fine.

I intend to look after it really well. I know that I'm doing a lot of moving recently so am putting it off a little longer until I know I wont be heaving and moving stuff around. I'm a bit of a clean freak too, I just hope I don't over clean it. That's why I'm not entirely sure how my ear got infected. It was wonky though, whether the place I went to was certified or not I don't know, but won't be going there again!

I know the pain is part of the experience but my mind tends to over think about how much it will hurt and that stops me getting in the door!! Grr.

I have 2 piercings in each earlobe, but the second set has grown in from my lack of earrings for a few months. I would like to get a couple more in each ear, just in the non-cartilage area, because it takes so long and hurts so much. I've thought about a lip or nose ring several times over the years, but I have a kind of big nose, for a woman, I've always called it a Cabbage Patch Kid nose...so it would draw more attention to it. Pretty much any facial piercings are out for me, because I've been trying to find a job for a long time now. I really want some tattoos. If possible, I'll have them done in places that can be covered, wtih the exception of my daughter's name in Greek(Sofia/Sophia) on the inside of my wrist. My fiance has the Triforce symbol from Legend of Zelda on his left wrist. I've thought about getting the fairy from those games-Navi-tattooed somewhere on me.

I have one tattoo (SO FAR). It is a stone crumbling heart on my left chest area above my breast. I am planning my next one which is a quote and it will go on my right forearm area. I don't really care about piercings as I do not wear jewelry except my beautiful black diamond wedding ring.
