Mix The Baudin and Lexington cocktails in #ABiteToEat with Twelve Mile Limit in New Orleans.
How did you get started?
I've been bartending since I was a little kid. As soon as I was able to reach the liquor cabinet, my parents taught me how they liked their Martinis. It was all very Betty Draper.
Where are you located?
We're at the corner of Telemachus and Baudin Streets in the Mid City neighborhood of New Orleans.
What are your specialities?
The Baudin is the closest thing the bar has to a signature drink, but our real specialty is high quality cocktails in a relaxed neighborhood dive bar setting.
What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?
Again, probably The Baudin. I also love our current frozen drink: a modified version of the classic Jack Rose cocktail that we call the Jack Froze.
What's on the stereo?
The bartender on duty has pretty much free rein over the tunes, so it really depends on who's there. My bartending playlists are pretty eclectic: jazz, blues, rock, hip hop, country - whatever works.
Where else should we visit in your area?
Mid City has the best selection of neighborhood bars in the New Orleans - Finn McCool's, D Mac's, Mick's, Three Palms, Bayou Beer Garden, Pal's - I could go on. There are also a couple of fun Jamaican restaurants in the neighborhood that people tend to overlook.
Do you host any special events?
We have weekly comedy and trivia nights and a few monthly dance parties. We host a lot of one off events, too.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know?
We'd love to see you at the bar!
