This week's #DIYFashionista is sponsored by Simply Be and we're going nautical with swimwear and showing you how-to make a DIY sailor collar.
When Simply Be got in touch to ask if we'd like to put together a beachwear outfit, nautical style instantly came to mind and I decided to create a 50's inspired sailor girl look.
The idea was set when I spotted this Oceana 50's skirt from Hell Bunny with a print of sailor tattoos, polka dots and anchors.
For the perfect beach look, I paired the skirt with a Beach to Beach Wrap Detail Swimdress from Simply Be. The swimdress can be worn strapless or as a halter, disguising itself as a top when paired with a skirt and shrug.
I completed the look with a pair of Hamble Oak brogues from Clarks, black belt, navy shrug and sailor collar, creating a nautical 50's beach look that can be stripped down into a pool-ready outfit at a moments notice.
