How would you describe your style?
Quirky, colourful and unique
What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe?
Often whatever’s the most recent addition, but at the moment it’s an amazing floor length maxi skirt I bought last year from Kemi Telford.
Who are your style icons?
Rizzo from Grease, Courtney Love, Isabella Blow.
Do you have any favourite designers?
I’ve always loved Bella Freud (I met her once when I was at art college in the 90s!) and Paul Smith.
Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes?
Kemi Telford, Gira e Rigira and vintage. I also like Boden and buy most of my workout clothes from Sweaty Betty.
Do you make or customise your outfits?
Sometimes. I made a couple of Tilly & The Buttons (https://www.tillyandthebuttons.com) sweatshirts a couple of months ago and some new skirts using fabric and patterns from Dovetailed (https://dovetailed.co.uk). I also alter vintage items occasionally. I wish I had more time to do this!
Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?
Adding a small vintage item or something else unexpected (like brightly coloured or patterned tights) can make something special. I’d never lift a look straight from a shop or magazine. I also like to clash colours and patterns – I love pink, red and yellow together.
Which other fashion blogs do you love to read?
I like A Fashion Nerd (https://www.instagram.com/afashionnerd/), Zara (a.k.a. Zeezsa - https://www.instagram.com/zeezsa/`), honeypopkisses (https://www.instagram.com/honeypopkisses/), and Forever Yours Betty (https://www.instagram.com/foreveryoursbetty/)
