This week's #DIYFashionista is sponsored by Jacamo who got in touch with the challenge to see if we could style menswear. Excited at the chance to try something new, I teamed up with my friend Phil, one half of the creative duo behind Thread & Heather.

With a huge selection of suits and waistcoats to choose from, Phil picked a grey suit jacket from Joe Browns, which we paired with a mix of high street and vintage finds.

For the finishing touch, I made him a bow-tie from zippers in contrasting blue and grey, to match the colours of the jacket.

The finished result was a smart casual look with jeans and vintage trainers, which could easily be transformed with matching trousers and a waistcoat for a dressy night out.
