We chat to Jennifer, give you a chance to win the book and learn how-to create a Paper Animal Painting, Watercolor Butterfly Tree and Birds on a Wire.

I am Jennifer McCully, an avid coffee drinker and color chaser. I am happy. Colorful. Passionate. And a true mess maker. I love creating – nothing in particular. I am 100% self-taught both as a graphic designer and a mixed media artist. Most of the time I am all over the map…whether it be creating for a new art book, creating art for Hobby Lobby or designing and printing vinyl wall decals (a craft I accidently picked up a few years back) for two of my Etsy shops. My days are filled creating from morning till afternoon, taking care of my four girls in the middle as well as family life in the evenings.

We chat to Cooking Superstar and crafter Emilie.

How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I found this amazing site through the Superstar feature, and I have really loved being a part of the site and learning from other amazing crafters and cooks :)

What projects are you currently working on?

I am currently working on a Mariner's Compass quilt. It's a very tricky pattern because so many points have to meet, perfectly. The pattern represents maritime history and the rich shipping and seaside heritage of New England. But I'm loving it! Anyone want to come help me finish? haha.

My name is Jez, and I'm a children's book illustrator and character designer based in Wellington, New Zealand. I've been working as a freelance artist for close to eight years, and I've done work for clients in children's publishing, and feature and television animation.

Ashlee from My So Called Crafty Life recreates the home of Miss Marple for today's #DIYTheRoom

One of my absolute favorite fictional characters is Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, the spinster detective. I chose this collection of projects based on what I imagine her home to look like. She was from that generation where they were very fluent in needlecrafts. I imagine beautiful floral fabrics and knits around her little cottage like plush knitted rugs and blankets, lace lampshades, beautiful tea cups and china, and beautiful patchwork floral pillows. I think this ensemble of crafts would fit her perfectly!
