Come behind the scenes at Lolly Jane and see Kelli & Kristi's craft room in Arizona.

I love how colorful this space is! From aqua walls to a stenciled mustard yellow herringbone full wall bookcase with mismatched colored chairs in between, it is bright and cheery and always puts me in a good mood!

Tell us about your space

When I moved into this home, it had been a recreational room and was white, off-white and tan. Since it is off of the foyer and not visible to the rest of the house, it is private enough to double as an office to meet with customers and hold craft nights or workshops. Mostly, though, it's mine all mine to play in as I please! With a 48" industrial vinyl cutter, a lot of sign making happens in this room. I also make holiday crafts, stage for recipes and paint small pieces of furniture in here. It's my go-to room when I want to create!

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

Paint, paint, paint! From the aqua walls to custom board & batten trim around the room, it is sophisticated yet playful. The table is stained but the bottom half has a mint finish. The chairs, mismatched and each a different color, are fun yet practical, and bring me inspiration when working on new projects. The floral curtains (made from a fabric shower curtain, cut in half then lengthened with a ruffled trim) blend the various colors around the space.

How do you keep organized?

This space came with a full wall bookcase that I stenciled a cheery hue on then filled it with lots of functional yet pretty storage solutions. From using my grandmothers old suitcases to store fabric and craft supplies to displaying old soda crates to hold bakers twine and paint squeeze bottles with paint brushes to customized numbered crates that hold craft tools, it is organized AND pretty! I also have a bright yellow crib spring that hangs on the wall with clips of To-Do's, photographs, quotes and inspirational clippings from my favorite magazines.

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

Our biggest trick has been our custom crates. We purchased 8 raw crates from our local hobby store and stained them. A number was added onto each crate so we know where specific supplies go right away. Another trick is making organization attractive; our grandfather's old egg basket serves as a vinyl roll holder and sits next to the cutter while a freshly painted turquoise hutch stores a lot of our paint supplies and office supplies.

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

Since we make a lot of signs, we always have the latest displayed in our space. We love handmade and support it so there are various artists items around the room as well. Our favorite purchase is a custom stitched "Diet Coke" embroidery hoop art. We have a cluster of thrifted bird cages that hang in a corner that also make us smile!

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

Sadly, a lot of our old magazine clippings have been tossed and replaced with organized boards on Pinterest. We have a secret board for ideas we want to make in the future but the other boards are all organized by room and season.

Where do you look for inspiration?

Although Pinterest is great for inspiration, Instagram has been another fun source. We love to browse trending hashtags and see what's out there!

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

1. Make the space bigger
2. Fridge for our Diet Coke and snacks
2. Come with workers ready to help craft! ;)
