How would you describe your style?

My style is a mix of classic, on trend, and vintage. I'm always aware of the trends but I usually buy pieces on the classic end that I can wear through several seasons or even years. I'm always on the lookout for vintage pieces because they're usually one-of-a-kind. I love knowing there's something about my style or outfit that looks like me and no one else.

What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe?

My Anthropologie coat featured in the photos. It's timeless and yet has pretty ruffles on the front and back that make it stand out from the crowd. It's a good representation of my style--classic with a twist.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwen Stefani, Jessica Alba

Do you have any favourite designers?

I don't really have a favorite designer. I'll read InStyle for inspiration, but I'm always looking for cut and quality in my clothing, and it doesn't really matter what brand it is--it's how you style it!

Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes?

I love LOFT, J.Crew, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie for clothes and Kate Spade and Coach for accessories.

Do you make or customise your outfits?

I don't have the patience to sew any piece of clothing from scratch, but I love to DIY my accessories to make one-of-a-kind ensembles. Recently, I've up-cycled a few clutches and made a J.Crew inspired t-shirt.

Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?

I think it's important to be yourself when you dress. It's the worst when you're wearing an outfit that you don't feel quite right in. One of my favorite style quotes is from Nina Garcia: "Style is a deeply personal expression of who you are, and every time you dress, you are asserting a part of yourself.”
