Lu's Craftspace

We head behind the scenes at Lu loves handmade to tour Lu's bright and colourful Berlin craftspace.

Everything is bright and colorful and there are lots of pretty details which make me happy. Moreover, my craft space is practical and serves my needs.

Tell us about your space

My home is not that big, it only has two rooms, so the craft corner is in the same room as the bed where I sleep in. Nevertheless, I love that I made the best possible out of the limited space and it is still bright and colorful. My workspace and craftspace are one. I mostly work on illustrations, paper crafts, home decor DIYs for my blog and sewing projects.

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

I have used lots of white and with many pops of color, this totally matches my style and taste. Moreover, my craftspace is filled with many supplies and projects, that makes it inspiring for me.

How do you keep organized?

I use many boxes, shelves and baskets to keep all my supplies and materials organized.

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

Use whatever serves your need and if you don't find the right storage solution, build it yourself! :)

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

Some of my favorite possessions are handmade decor projects, they are displayed at different spots in my home.

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

Inspiration and ideas for upcoming projects are organized in different notebooks, sketchbooks and on my various lists and plans. :)

Where do you look for inspiration?

When in need for inspiration, I browse my supplies, have a look at other blogs or surf on Pinterest.

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

I would make it bigger, include a read workshop with all kinds of tools and hardware and I would make space for a photo shoot area. Yay!
