Who are your style icons?
My friends. My friends each have their own unique styles and I draw inspiration from them all. When I see people who go all out in their wardrobe I LOVE it and it inspires me to dress to the extreme.. like, even if their style isn't something I would want to wear just the fact that they are stepping out of their house and going for it, REALLY going for it. That inspires me.
I am drawn to colorful, flowy clothes I think because of a mother-figure in my early childhood (Bessy). Bessy always dressed in blues, purples, greens, and yellows, she always had teal eyeliner on, and sparkles in her eyelids. Her house was painted similarly to the way she dressed, and I remember there was purple paint and glitter on her floor throughout the house. Bessy tie dyed her husband's underwear because she didn't like it to be boring and white! I think that Bessy is where I got my colorful side. It always seemed comforting to me, like a little reminder of my childhood.
So I guess that means my style icons are weirdo maximalist fashion people, and flower child tie dye mama.
Do you have any favourite designers?
Can I just say all of my friends? Seriously, I am so lucky to have so many talented friends who design & make amazing clothes.. I don't really follow *high* fashion, but I love to see how misfits on the street dress. Madeline Pendleton - designer for Tunnel Vision's in house brand, as well as Bad Vibes. She is amazing, a super creative grrl, plus she's a badass feminist!
Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes?

Do you make or customise your outfits?
Not too much. Most of what I wear is a combination of vintage and handmade items. I don't know how to sew and I get easily frustrated by DIY projects so I like to have other people make me the things I want to wear, hah! I special order items a lot from my friend Larissa, who runs Miracle Eye.
Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?
I think it takes time if it's not something that comes naturally to you. I didn't start off with the same style; my style has developed over time and is always evolving. I started out blogging without having a great sense of what *my* style was. I checked out TONS of blogs and lookbook.nu accounts, and was on tumblr constantly. I found people who really inspired me, and found outfits that sang to my soul.. Look around, try things out, step outside your comfort zone, hang out with inspiring people.
