How would you describe your style?

Hmm, definitely boho, sometimes a bit androgynous, sometimes more girly, let's say "refined boho."

What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe?

I can never pick just one favorite, but some of my embroidered tops from Mexico are definitely in my list of favorites. They're really special to me because they remind me of my year living and working there, of starting my fair trade shop Mitla Moda, and of course are infinitely re-mixable - with cutoffs or a skirt + sandals in summer or leggings + a cardi & boots in winter, I really live in them.

Who are your style icons?

I'm not up on pop culture at all, so I really have no clue which famous person's style I'd admire, but I definitely look to a lot of fellow bloggers as style icons. I love seeing bloggers make absolutely stylish and timely looks with regard for both the environmental and societal impacts of their purchases, and absolutely love that more and more bloggers are doing this through shopping secondhand and with fair trade companies!

Do you have any favourite designers?

No, I must admit to not keeping up on designers, although there are so many very talented designers and artisans!

Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes?

Mata Traders, Threads for Thought, thrift stores

Do you make or customise your outfits?

Sometimes I customize outfits with little easy tweaks such as hems, taking items in a tad, etc.

Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?

Of course, don't be afraid to remix items, and just try things on. Don't worry if you think someone else might not like the color combo or whatnot, but also if you have doubts about it together (that are your own, not what you think someone else will think), then also don't worry about sticking with a few basics. For example, I have a few skirts that I think look nice on me with all of my embroidered tops, and mix those around, changing things up with different accessories. And don't be afraid to give things away when you're not using it, or try getting a few girl friends together for a swap, that can save a lot of time over scouring the thrift stores, and often something you used to love but simply grew tired of will be your friend's new staple item, and vice versa.
