How would you describe your style?
Casual, colourful, relaxed
What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe?
My handmade knit Maxi skirts. I live in them over the summer months and as the weather warms up here in Australia, I'm looking forward to wearing them again soon.
Who are your style icons?
They are mostly bloggers, Trine from Groovy Baby and Mama (http://groovybabyandmama.blogspot.dk) has cool Scandinavian style. Krista from Lazy Saturdays (http://www.lazy-saturdays.com) is inspirational in the way she incorporates vintage and colour into her wardrobe. I've recently started following Catherine at Not Dressed As Lamb (http://www.notdressedaslamb.com) as I love her use of colour and the way she combines unexpected pieces together.
Do you have any favourite designers?
I follow fabric designers more than fashion designers. I love Japanese Designers Naomi Ito and Etsuko Furuya. I also love the designs of Amy Butler, Melody Miller and April Rhodes.
Where are your favourite places to shop for new clothes?
I browse plenty of stores that I can't access in Australia such as Boden and Anthropologie. I use them for inspiration for making clothes. I tend to shop for basics only and get these from Sussan, Esprit and Review.
Do you make or customise your outfits?
I buy the basics - (jeans, tank tops and t-shirts) and make the 'cake' (dresses, skirts, dressier tops).
Do you have any great tips for mixing up and personalising an outfit?
Wearing handmade is the best way to personalise an outfit - you have chosen the fabric and customised the size to create a custom piece.
