Amy's Office

We head behind the scenes at Delineate Your Dwelling to tour Amy's office / guest room in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

It's amazing what some simple furniture rearranging and new paint on the walls can do! The space feels so much larger and brighter now. Then, I added tons of things that make me happy and feel creative to personalize it.

Tell us about your space

My office (craft space) also doubles as our guest room, so not only is it important to look pretty but it also needs to function with many purposes. My first task was to create zones in the room. An office area with our desk, a crafting and picture taking zone at the window, a printer area for our printers and silhouette machine and then a guest area.

What have you done to make your space cosy, beautiful or inspiring?

Being a creative blogger, I have a million projects that I fall in love with and can't imagine parting ways with them. This space is a wonderful area to display those items. It's wonderful to be surrounded by things you love, in a space that you create in.

How do you keep organized?

This is a never ending challenge. I try to keep organized by having containers, boxes, or drawers for everything. If everything technically has a home, it's easier to put it back there!

Any tips & tricks for organising supplies?

Have supplies you use most frequently out and visible. All the rest should be stored away, where they have easy access but don't clutter your workspace.

Which are your favourite possessions and are there any of your own creations on display?

I am really in love with my three miniature clay animal heads. I sculpted them out of air dry clay and then painted them in a fun and whimsical manner. They hang on the wall right beside my desk.

How do you organise your inspiration and ideas?

Most of my inspiration is organized on pinterest. My actual ideas I have draft scheduled into my blog ready to be made, photographed and written about!

Where do you look for inspiration?

There are so many inspirational things all around us. I am drawn to soft color and patterns mixed with natural materials.

If you had three wishes, what would you do to make it the dream space?

If I had three dream wishes for this space they would be to have a separate guest room, to paint all the furniture white and add another window!
