    Join squares together into a rectangle, 6 squares wide by 7 squares long, using the chain join method, following Assembly Diagram for placement. With RS facing, working through BL only and through double thickness, sc in each st across to join squares.

    3-dc cluster: [yo, pick up a loop in next dc, yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] 3 times, yo, draw yarn through all 4 lps on hook.
    Note: Count each joined corner and seam as a st when working Rnd 1 of Edging.
    RND 1: With RS facing, join C with a Sl st in first dc after top right-hand corner ch-2 sp, ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), sk next st, dc in next sc, [ch 1, sk next st, dc in next st] across to next corner, (dc, ch 3, dc) in corner ch-2 sp, rep from * around, join with a Sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-4.     Passion Flower Square
    Skill Level: Intermediate
    Made with 3 colors: A, B, and C.
    Front Post Triple Crochet (FPtr): Yo (twice), insert hook from front
    to back to front again around the post of designated st, [yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] 3 times.
    Picot: Ch 3, sc in 3rd ch from hook.
    With A, make an adjustable loop (page 124).
    RND 1: Ch 1, 10 sc in ring, join with a Sl st in first sc, tighten ring. (10 sc)
    RND 2: (Ch 7, Sl st) in each sc around, ending with last Sl st in first Sl
    st. Fasten off A—10 ch-7 loops.
    RND 3: With RS facing, join B with a Sl st in any ch-7 loop, ch 1,
    starting in same loop, (sc, ch 5) in each loop around, join with a
    Sl st in first sc—10 ch-5 loops.

    Chain Join Method
    When the outer rounds of your squares have open spaces, you can join pieces with a stitch pattern that suits the spacing. This decorative join can be worked from either side. Place the pieces right sides together (or wrong sides together), aligning the stitches. Join yarn in one corner through both layers. *Chain 3, skip 3, single crochet through spaces of both layers, repeat from *.
