Mothers Day gift ideas

This year, as well as buying a gift, I want to make something too to make it more personal. So far I have made a planner for my Mam but I need some more ideas because I just don't think its enough! Please help!
Much appreciated! =]

What does she like to do? Perhaps you can make a gift that relates to her fav hobby? My mum is a crochet-nut so I'm making her a hook case. You could make her a nice pin-cushion if she sews, or if she likes to garden maybe plant adornments (see the link below if you don't know what I'm on about):

I saw a cute idea in a garden centre- it was a selection of cards each with a pretty photo of a different flower on the front and on the inside was a packet of seeds so you could grow them yourself. I thought this was such a sweet idea and easy to make yourself at home.

I've got three people I'm making mother's day presents for: my mom, my fiance's mom, and my best friend who's been like a mom away from home.

I'm going to start with a charm bracelet or necklace for each of them, and make cards by hand, too.

For my own mom, I'll probably draw and frame a picture of a calico cat or a giraffe since those are her favorite animals. I just stocked up on some really cool photo frames, too.

My mother's day gift to my mom this year will probably be the announcement that she's having another grand child. I'm really nervous about telling her so we'll see how that goes.

Those are nice tips. Mother's day is almost over but it's not too late to gift your gift. If you don't have your present, why not take a review of this web site? Try one of these inexpensive, DIY Mother's Day gifts.
