Valentine's Day gift ideas - let's share!!

Thought we could post links/ideas on here to give us some inspiration for what to make the other halves this year!!

I have an idea in my head that i want to make a fabric card and envelope this year, just searching google for some ideas atm Happy

I'm thinking about possibly making him a bouquet of bacon roses or pillow cases with song lyrics from some of his favorite songs written on it. Or possibly making a Valentine's box like the kind you make in elementary school and filling it with valentines.

I'm probably going to make my fiance a chocolate cake like I did for his 25th birthday... Chocolate cake with chocolate fudge frosting and icing, topped with chocolate truffles! Happy

@Monika: Ooooooh that sounds really yummy. I wish my boyfriend liked chocolate. I love baking but I never do it anymore because I hate baking for myself and it doesn't help baking something he won't eat anyway =

I know what you mean Rawr Rawr. One Valentine's day I slaved away making a double layered chocolate coffee cake from scratch! It was amazing but he only ate half of one piece!

I'm making my boyfriend a siver ring out of quarter, if it works out he made me two last year for our first valentines day together and I love them so much, He keeps hinting at wanting one and wearing the ring he ex gave him a long time ago -_-

I'm also thinking about making a him some kinda of mousse pie, graham cracker crust and an oh so very thing layer of fudge on top of that and and then mousse and stuff, maybe some cherry cordials to top it of? Peanut butter something, he doesn't really like chocolate either, unless it's white so I can't use to much of it. My and my sister were joking about dressing up as Mrs. Lovett for the occasion after she slipped "meat" somewhere into the conversation, I mean we do have to cats already and they're vicious and evil and poop in my bed when I'm gone for the weekend. (jerks)

I'm really worried about making a back up on both of those in case the ring doesn't work out for some reason. But I have no clue what to do instead, I've had my heart set on these one for a month now.

I've written a "50 reasons why I love you" list for my boyfriend, just dont know how to present it- I might cut them out and put them in a jar so he can pull them out when he's feeling blue. Or I might make them into a book....or...dunno- any idea's?

I did the "52 Reasons" for my husband for Christmas. I turned a deck of cards into a little book. And I put pictures of cars (since he's a car fanatic) from a magazine on each card, plus a reason why I love him.

For V-Day, I'm making a mini quilt with two ruffly hearts and some yo-yo flowers on it. It's cute. I just have to bring myself to finish before Tuesday.
