I love old punks, they're so much fun and you dunno what they're saying half the time

Opposites, a girl in my band always goes on about Airwaves, it sounds amazing!

I'm going to Download again this year, of course, and very excited. 37 days =) and also going to Reading on the Friday to see Queens Of The Stone Age, Rage Against The Machine and Serj Tankian. I'm gonna miss Guilfest I think, I loved that last year

Oh wow! We should totally meet up. I thought you were an across-the-ponder? Or maybe you are, and you're going on an adventure!

I'm totally stoked. I can't wait to make some dresses for it. Woooo, textiles over as of Wednesday! Hooray I can craft what I want, when I want!

I just had my first festival experience with shivi, it was called the Fairbridge Festival...it had a hand made theme and it was probably the most fun I've ever had..I enjoyed it o much and some of the music was really good.

Okay I had to do this:

DOWNLOAD IS IN FOUR DAYS!

I'm getting ridiculously excited about it, it just looks fantastic! I've been so down lately and it's the one place where I'm always happy and everything is good, even when I get sunburnt and attract stalkers, it's just fucking brilliant! I want to get out in the sun, drink some beer, relax and not have to worry about anything for days <3

I'm so pleased for you! It's so lucky you've finished all your exams by then too. Thankfully Glastonbury's a late one this year so after my final exam on the 19th I've got a week to forget everything I ever learnt in time for Glastonbury.
Also have to craft me up some fun clothes!

Do you like to dress up for fests?

I really want to go to the Latitude festival, it looks kind of like what Connect was last year. Martha Wainwright's playing too Happy

Kinda but it's weird cause it's normally so hot at Download that you can't wear much other than a bikini top and shorts. I also haven't had much time to bring things this year because I've been busy making other things, but I've got my dreadfalls and a few dresses to bring and loads of hair clips and ties and things. I was going to make a furry bikini top out of leopard print but I cut the pieces and then left it, not sure I have time now unless I do it tomorrow night...hmm...

TWO DAYS!

OOOOH Bjork and Sigur Rós are putting on a FREE concert day here in Reykjavik on 28th June, there are other artists performing like Ghostdigital and other local artists. There was a rumour Radiohead were to appear, but I think that has been firmly denied.
The concert is to promote nature and the environment, so I think for that reason, it will be local bands only.

Also beginning of July there is a festival in the East Fjords, but I can't get time off. Damien Rice is the headliner. Damn it I have missed him 3 times here now Happy

That sounds awesome, Opposites.

Mmmm Download was good. I'm so tired and burnt (even though it wasn't very hot), and my chest hurts from breathing in dusty gravel all weekend, and we camped on thistles and didn't sleep and had to walk half an hour to get to the stages. But jesus, I had such a wonderful time!

OMG mad week!
I managed to get a job at Isle of Wight Festival and on the morning that I was leaving my mate phoned me to say that he'd won tickets for Download and did I want to go! (they were the same weekend)
I could not
but it was ok cos my boyfriend went but seriously ironic.
its fine though cos even though I worked a couple of 13 hour shifts on the bar(ouch)
I saw Iggy and the Stooges
and Sex Pistols
and the Stranglers
and The Police
AND I GOT PAID!
and now I'm working Radiohead in Victoria park next week and hopefully V festival
