I don't cut!
I'm sorry you had to go through all that Emma I became friends with that girl a few years later and she told me all about what was going on back then, it was sad as I felt like I had neglected her.
I'm over most of it now, still get a bit angry it's hard seeing these people and actually saying hi to them! But I feel above all of them like I won in the end.
I doubt you caused the self harming though like some of the people that have tried to add me on facebook/myspace! You didn't realise but I'm sure you weren't to blame and even now you feel bad where as some people I knew would be like 'I didn't bully you!' when they did. And if you were part of it at least you feel bad now (although again I doubt you were to blame).
That sounds like a good suggestion really. I might need to borrow that one if you don't mind.
I think ignoring it is a good way IF its a particular person or persons making fun of you.
If its just a bunch of random people, ignoring them wont help, because they arn't comming back to you anyway, so they can't really get bored. They will just keep doing it to random "emo" kids they see
BUT
I think a witty retort and putting them in their place will stop them from doing the same thing to another person, saving THEM from having to come up with a witty retort . If you make them feel stupid for saying something, they won't say it to someone else, in fear that THEY will stand up for themselves as well.
Well I know I wasn't the cause of her harming, but I didn't help as I didn't know she was depressed, or doing it. Well I spose that made it worse for her, as we didn't see the issue. I'm not friends with anymore, not for 8 years.
The key thing is showing you're not taking it too heart. Whether you do that with a joke or by ignoring them that's fine, but just NEVER show they're bothering you, or it'll never end.
