Had to shave all my hair off :(

Is there some trick to getting really wide headbands to stay in place? They seem to want to slip back almost instantly once I put them on. Will bobby pins help, or do I just need better headbands? The kind I have is about 3 inches wide and made from a really loosely knit elasticated material.

Your hair looks GREAT! You might could have some fun with mousse. I love the big, dangly earrings idea. It would look artsy. A long scarf, folded to about 3inches wide and tied around would look good too. Leave the ends out or tie them up under. Have fun with hats too. You can pick some up at thrift stores and modify them in all sorts of ways.

My hair is this length (by choice, haha) and I really love it. I just comb my hair over to make tiny bangs! I think super short hair is super cute and most girls are so scared to do it! Hooray for short haired gals!

I know it's been a while since this started but Conair makes bobby pins half the size of normal bobby pins. I use them to keep my head bands from slipping. I also paint them with nail polish for some extra fun. Also, Conair makes "hair pins" that I straighten out, slide a glass bead on, reshape and then stick in my hair. Bees wax was my go-to when my hair was ultra-short.

I think I am going to look for some of those shorter bobby pins. I think I am going to make lots of hair stuff this week to get me through bad hair days until I can do my half-shave.

I too had gone through the same phase as yours when I had short hair and missed my long hair. It was then that my hairstylist advised me to make use of hair extensions that could make my hair look longer and fuller. So I put in the extensions from my <a href="http://www.ludischarminginstinct.com">hairstylist</a> and got the long hair look once again. You can also try putting in the extensions and thus get longer hair till your real hair grows out.
