Weight loss.
www.eatingwell.com is a really good website full of awesome recipes
I'm on a 1200 kcal diet right now It's not hard because you can eat whatever you want, whenever you want, you just got to count the kcalories you eat. I have a fixed amount of kcalories I can eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and in between, and next to that I'm starting with jogging with my sister If you have the right tempo, you can burn up to 780 kcalories per hour with that!
My mother lost A LOT of weight this way before, and I just started some days ago so I can't tell yet, but it ain't hard!
If you say you have a "pooched out belly" instead of just going on a diet and doing normal type exercise... the diet, yeah you could do, just try making some little changes that seem insignificant like the way you cook your food (less frying, fats and oils and stuff) etc. and also portion sizes... maybe get some smaller plates?? These kind of things are a good starting place, then you can think about the kinds of foods you eat etc etc etc.
Also if you feel like your stomach is the big problem, why not do exercise's aimed at toning the tummy?
P.S: I'm obviously no expert, I'm quite overweight myself, but it's these kinds of things that I have been told. I just haven't implemented them myself... I really ought to because I need to lose some weight too.
cut your carbs.carbs r sugars they turn into fat check out the south beach diet lots of lean meat chicken and fish and bunches of veggies except carrots.
Weightwatchers worked well for me and I lost 4 stone. I ended up having to stop when i got a full time job becasue I couldnt make the meetings, but now im gonna dig out my points book and follow it at home, Once you understand the system its a great one to follow because it allows for treats.
Just remember diets dont work as a permanant weight loss soloution, its all about balance, you can eat more fruit and veg and low fat foods to bulk out meals and still have the odd treat. Substitute snack for lower fat versions or healthy snacks, drink diet pop drinks or have fruit juices. Its just about being smart and understanding what portion sizes you should use for different foods
Hope this helps x

Everytime I think about my weight, it just upsets me that I cant fit into a size small or sometimes medium! And evey summer that passes by it also is the worst because bathing suit shopping is the worst
Lately me and my dad have been jogging or runnging in the mornings or after dinner. It works for me beacause since I have a hard time falling asleep, when we go out for a jog after dinner, im all tired. All I need at that point is a good steamy shower and a nice comfy bed. I also noticed that while im jogging and im really tired Im never thinking about food, and when I am thinking about food, I eat a fruit. But for all those who think their fat or chubby, think about it this way:
People who are fat arent really fat! They just have a "REALLY" big heart, that needs a "REALLY" big body.

I know we hear this alot but, love yourself for who you are, lose weight for you not to please others <3
I just started weight watchers a week ago and I'm already seeing results. At first it was difficult but it got easier as the days went on. My only complaint is that it can be a little time consuming to enter all the stuff you've had online on via your phone. Other than that, I totally recommend it.
I'm the kind of person who HATES going to the meetings so everything is online. I don't have to see anyone but if I need help there's always online people to talk to about struggles and success stories.
That's just my two cents ;)
Hehe a little update I started this diet (1200 kcal) in may, and I have lost 4 kg since then. I wasn't super strict all the time, but it's quite a lot compared to other diets I also lost 3cm from my waist and 3 from my hips, and about 2 from my arms!
Good luck xx
I recently lost about 20 pounds.
I did it by slowly reduced my caloric intake until I was consuming about 1000 calories a day. I also exercised 5-6 times a week for 45 min-1 hr. I did variations of cardio and strength training. It wasn't easy but I stuck to it and I lost the weight. I also drank a lot of water.
Here are the tools I used:
I used this to help me figure out how many calories to eat:

I used this to help log what I eat each day:

I did workouts from here:

I also used the free tools on Jenny Craig

It helps to have support from a friend or someone to hold you accountable to what you eat. My husband was/is my support.
I hope this helps. There is no easy quick fix. It just takes determination and hard work. You can do it. Whether you use my method or not, I would love to hear about your progress.

Just thought i'd mention The Freshmen Five. the five extra pounds that most freshmen gain when they start to live on pizza/etc while attempting to balance life, school and work.
make small changes you can stick to. there's a free diet app for ipods (and online) that i loved and lost 10 pounds on but i can't remember the name for the life of me. it did all the calorie counting and everything
It's the Freshmen 15 because they usually gain 15-20lbs.
Wow, 15? that's more than i was told. maybe it varies college to college? lol
I tried a diet called the "GM diet "
