Job Interview Question
Okay, so I went for my first ever job interview on Monday and I got a call-back for a second interview less than half an hour after I left. I thought everything went great but now I'm wondering, is this normal? They seemed like they really want me to work there, but I'm not sure if interviewers just do this with everyone to give them a fair chance or anything. What do you guys think? 'Cause I don't wanna get my hopes up thinking I have the job, then they don't hire me after the second interview on Saturday..
That's fairly standard practice here. Usually they have a preliminary interview and then a secondary interview which allows you to ask more questions about the job and what's expected.
My experience is that they do the first interview, then weed out some people, then call their favorite choices back for a second interview, then they will pick who they want to give the job to. So if you made it to the "second Round" I think you've got a pretty good chance of getting the job! XxX Fingers crossed!
I agree - it is completely normal. The second one generally asks more job specific questions though, so best to get prepared again.
The First interview gives them a general idea of who you are and your basic knowledge on the job. If they like the answers you've given them they will want to see you for the second. If they didnt like you in your first interview, they wouldn't have bothered bringing you back! It's positive! all the best!
Call backs that soon are normal my first care job called me an hour after my interview offering me the job and my current care job i went to speak to the manager of the home just to ask about the home and the jobs on offer and she offered me the job on the spot and said she counted that as my interview
I went for the second interview yesterday. There was only one other person who got called back so I'm really nervous now. They said they'll call on Monday to say if we got the job...
